More importantly, him dropping back into a 3 when we had the ball meant
1) we could get Ethan on the ball in central forward positions, Currie pushed right up wide and an extra body more central (admittedly only DJ) and
2) arguably more importantly, we were less likely to get caught on the break in the channels vacated by Ethan and Currie.

Proper top level left field management/tactical know-how that goes unnoticed by a lot of fans. Expertly executed by Browny.

Notice too how people often say that Galbraith, Kelman, Donley etc need to have their minutes managed and rested when possible.

Nobody says that about Brown even though he is a similar age and covers at least as much, if not more, ground every game as those players do
