Re: Dave Knight
Knew of him and saw his face for many years at games home and away. A well known Orient face. Very sad to hear this news.

This absolutely!OyinbO wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 8:53 am A giant in our community - a humble one, but a giant nonetheless. If there were more people like him in the world, it would be a much better place.
Even the manner of his passing was typical of him - didn't make much fuss, but chose to fight on - and endure the pain - to see Orient promoted, at Wembley, and playing in the Football League again.
I'm glad his last experience of the Os would have been the last minute winner at Mansfield, and not yesterday.
RIP
Even those of is who knew Dave and were aware that he was unwell were taken by surprise by the announcement yesterday.
He did so much for so many people and the comment above about the world being a better place with more people like Dave is spot on.
I hadn't known him for as long as some at Orient but I was proud to call him my friend.
A top, top man.
May he rest in peace.

Re: Dave Knight
Very sad news.
Use to see him regularly on the old north terrace, when i first started going over. There were 2 groups of us and we chatted regularly at half time. Had very little contact since then.

Re: Dave Knight
An absolute gentleman. Dave raised thousands for various charities over the years through running marathons. Known him to say hello to for over 30 years. Got to spend an evening in his company in France a couple of seasons back. Despite being ill he bravely continued to come to matches and was still smiling. The world lost a good man yesterday. May he rest in peace.
