You could say there’s something more Fundamental at play here though right?
Last year he wasn’t backed and we tailed off, this year he was backed and we also tailed. As well as a poor start to both seasons

Not sure the two seasons compare. Injuries and suspensions to key players have caused this tail off. You can’t lose 3 of your 1st choice back 4, plus the main cb cover at the same time and not be impacted. With one of beckles and happe fit and currie not suspended I can’t see us losing 5 on the trot.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 9:07 am You could say there’s something more Fundamental at play here though right?

And within that the club even tried to cover the CB injury with signing REG, who has performed pretty well since coming in. Never understood why we signed Cooper at the time and he's not been up to it when called upon. One to move on in summer if we can find a taker imo.HackneyO wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 10:17 amNot sure the two seasons compare. Injuries and suspensions to key players have caused this tail off. The Currie wrongful red and the disgraceful handling of the appeal by the FA afterwards really put the boot in. Losing your CB pairing is one thing, losing the only capable LB in the squad just makes it one too many obstacles to overcome.
RW does have to take a bit on the chin for not rotating the likes of Donley recently as well, we've got the options to bring in and perhaps those haven't been used quite as effectively as they might have been?
