Is not the ASDA store economically viable? With all the new flats being built, does Leyton not require at least one supermarket?
This is the ironic cherry on the ironic cake of this thread really, as the plan for the Retail Park is more (dense) housing, not a football stadium.
Firstly, the amount of housing built on that site could be less than you think. Remember Uncle Bazza will have a nice bit of land to develop further up the road, to provide the housing part of the deal.
Secondly, Asda could be incorporated into the ground ala Crystal palace and Sainsbury's. There could also be retail units, hotel and leisure facilities for the local (growing) community.

It's almost certainly not ASDA mate, but don't worry - it won't be too far away

I thought Drapers field came under Newham , E15. so outside of Waltham Forest . I was under the impression that the club and the council wanted us to stay inside the boundary Waltham Forest . If so it's not Drapers field .

It would be the Dirty Harold that would see a huge boost. The Eagle would also receive a massive financial shot in the arm with two stadium’s equidistant.
The Birky and NC wouldn’t likely see a change. The Coach however would likely see an impact.

It is just inside LBWF.

Drapers should be within LBWF as Norlington School used it for Games for my last few years there (early 90s), after no longer being able to use Ive Farm - dont know where they go now since Drapers was converted

Would be hilarious if that doesn't happen and the sporting covenant has to remain. Turn it into a skate park or something.

Didnt the ACV (Asset of Community Value) prevent the ground from being used as anything other than a sporting venue? and how long do those things last anyway?

It’s definitely within Waltham Forest, the boundaries are the train line to the west of it and Crownfield Road to the south. However, there’s no way that Drapers Field is big enough for a stadium when you consider a car park, coach parking, etc. I’m no expert on construction but would also think the proximity to the train and underground tracks probably impacts on what can/can’t be done.

If we've been relocated, pretty sure that will be removed without too much trouble. And has been said above, it's likely to be part of any deal struck.

How long is our lease on the ground?

Hackney Marshes. We could have a 100,000 seater stadium there which would just about meet our needs in the top flight

Actually, I hope it’s not Drapers field . That puts us even nearer to West Ham at the Olympic Stadium. If anything I hope it’s back towards Walthamstow or the Walthamstow/Clapton border

Why would it need car / coach parking ? Our current stadium doesn't have either (other than the few places under the West Stand). I'd imagine 21st century planning rules would be against providing car parking and encouraging use of public transport.

Do you think the away team and staff walk from Leyton tube station?

If you look at Brentford’s Gtech stadium they have minimal parking, enough for a coach or two, very little beyond that
