The forward that we tried to sign, but was too expensive, is George Lloyd from Shrewsbury. The player himself has said as much.

Rather have Dalby back than Roofe.
Some Bear friends of mine called him a thieving bastr'd for the wages he stole, & were talking double that of George Moncur minimum.
