It turned out Donley did indeed need a kick up the backside (RW mentioned it in an interview). Keeley has been a revelation and no-one anywhere had "keeper scores a 99th minute header to turn the season around" in their predictions or views of what would change.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 4:44 pm What do all the moaners from November have to say for themselves now?
Not all of them Sidney and if not we will take them on loan, step up as loan plalayers for them in Ling we trust, you’re a half glass empty person aren’t you Sidney try and cheer up, can’t wait for your comments on here when we loseSid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 4:41 pmWe could NOT afford to buy ALL the players we have on loan, let alone even afford the wages their parent clubs currently pay them. Yes he is doing well, but what happens end of season when all these loan players leave ?
Panic would set in IF we did manage to gain promotion with them all going plus perhaps also Dan A and Galbraith going too !
This. Reading clearly decent and we shut them down in second half. I'm normally a nervy fan even if we're 2 or 3 up, and felt completely relaxed today. Never looked like throwing it.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 4:50 pm We are really f*cking good. These teams are strong playoff contenders with better budgets and we make them look ordinary.
And it’s been a mixed defence as well with injuries to Happe / TJ / Simpson at different times. Shows how well they are drilled as a unit that they can chop and change and continue to keep so organised and tight.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 5:02 pm In our last 13 league games we’ve had 11 clean sheets and 9 in the last 10. That’s insane.
Also what a big difference having a solid keeper makesRon Waffle wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 5:12 pmAnd it’s been a mixed defence as well with injuries to Happe / TJ / Simpson at different times. I am just being practical and down to earth. We face losing 7 key players ( not too fussed about Perkins ) in 5 very good loan players plus Galbraith and Dan A and moneys too tight too mention to buy in quality replacements, we shall see how it all pans out..... so enjoy this run while we are on it !B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 5:08 pmNot all of them Sidney and if not we will take them on loan, step up as loan plalayers for them in Ling we trust, you’re a half glass empty person aren’t you Sidney try and cheer up, can’t wait for your comments on here when we loseSid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 4:41 pmWe could NOT afford to buy ALL the players we have on loan, let alone even afford the wages their parent clubs currently pay them.
