Bromley away - worked round the corner and took about 12 people from work to remind me for months how bad we were
Scunthorpe playoffs
Rotherham playoffs - still not over it
Crewe away when we got relegated out of the league. Strange journey back
Mk dons on a tues night about 2012. Went on my own last min, walked from the station down some motorway, we lost 4-0 or something and I walked back

Cardiff fans frightening the life out of me as kid in the late 80βs
All the playoff finals
Being turfed out of my west side seat to stand on the terrace so spurs fans could sit down and then watching Gary Doherty score that header
Bournemouth away 5-0
Lincoln at home last season

My worst memory by far is seeing the gradual destruction of Brisbane road from that devious individual Barry Hearn. So much so that we are now being forced to move after he used us as a property development site. Sad to say he sucked a lot of fans in with the old 'call me Barry' and 'little Leyton Orient ' tag lines which was just a distraction for his building plans on our ground. That's why he's devious as well as being the biggest bulls---ter going. I dreamt as a young kid in the late 50's and 60's of nice big stands going up behind each goal and just look what he gave us.. We should be looking forward, realistically speaking, to a 18 - 20,000 capacity sell out against City. Now the ground can barely hold 9,000.
We all demonstrated against Bechetti and quite rightly so. Hearn was worse for what he did to us and we should also be demonstrating against him. For starters, by giving us back our ground at a reasonable price, especially when you consider what he plundered during his tenure.
This is my biggest disappointment of a memory by far...

Unfortunately CCH itβs not just a memory - thereβs living proof at every home game!

The loss of JE and the long walk to the ground when they opened it up for the memorial - none of the rest of the below come close
Then the others...
League 2 relegation finally being confirmed after the week by week collapse during the

times. The disbelief of being non-league becoming reality was very sobering
Wembley v Rotherham when Baudry missed the pen to put us ahead in the shootout then the inevitable sinking feeling knowing what was coming next
The journey home from Wembley 1999 having had my dreams crushed, you don't forget your first bitter disappointment
Conceding 6 to Bromley in NL then the run of losses leaving us staring down the barrel of NL South, culminating with the Torquay game where the side looked like they'd never played football before in their lives
Seeing Hearn at his slipperiest negating the 50% profit share on BR by selling it to himself whilst the club was in danger of going out of existence

It did also give the surreal moment of watching the one and only time I've seen professional footballers actively ignore their team mate and turn in the completely opposite direction rather than give him a simple pass. Never seen anything like it before or since.

Bromley 1-6
Scunthorpe 2-3 at the Old Show Ground
Malden and Tiptree
3 x 1-5 home defeats within a couple of months in 1982
losing Semi Final in 78..... and many more absolute dire home performances...
An excellent list. Ageee on all those. I was lucky to miss Bromley but attended all the others.
I would put Scunny at the top of the pile. Never to be forgotten experience.

We had just lost to Bournemouth and been relegated from Div 3.
Went into the supporters club to drown my sorrows and saw on TV the awful events at Bradford unfolding.
Relegation was immediately forgotten thinking about the poor people who died that day.
*edit* think we actually drew, but needed to win, not that it matters

Losing JE
Game at Bury called off last minute as we arrived, so supporters coach voted to watch Mau Utd v Norwich. Hated Man U with a passion at the time. Coppers wouldn't let us in the away end, so was a horrible experience standing on the Stretford End watching them thump Norwich 3-0.
Driving up to Scarborough for an evening game not realising it had been called off earlier until I arrived at car park and there was no-one around.
Relegation from old second division (Championship)
At end of first season in National League realising we might never get out of it.

I forgot 2 - Driving to Tranmere on a Friday afternoon - getting there at half time when they were 2 down. Watching 45mins in which time they conceded another then promptly getting in the car and driving home.
Falling asleep at the wheel and bouncing off the central reservation crash barrier on the M11 at 1am after driving back from a midweek game at Grimsby (2-2 having conceded a last minute equaliser)

Also, watching the 1999 play off final in a campsite bar in the Vendee with only me and the barkeep in. Then 4 Irish lads barged in and demanded the barkeep change the channel for them to watch Original Rangers v Smelltik Scotch Cup Final.
The yella bellied barkeep gave in to them because four people wanted to watch it and only one didn't. Egalite, Equalite, Fraternite.
I growled at them in a low anamalistic fashion as they watched. It was a terrible game and I suggested we ditch it and go back to the Orient on screen shambles. The Barkeep looked apprehensive at this suggestion. I went back to the caravan.
Weirdly, a few days latter I was sitting in my car at the entrance to the site with my O's shirt on and a young guy came up to me and couldnt believe he had met another Os fan in France. Turned out he had been at the game and said I hadn't missed much. His name was Mathew, didn't quite catch his second name, think it was Offer or Offender or summik.

Yes. Of course, hardened Os fans know most of the facts but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
