If Markanday is the player that RW alluded to in his interview, then Blackburn are probably waiting on their new signing (Augustus Kargbo) to be formalised before they release Markanday on loan.

If it is a further loan, we really need to make one of the existing loans permanent, assuming Currie does not get recalled
Otherwise a further loan is of limited use

My guess would be markanday and Perkins alternate in matchday squads

It's far from ideal but if that's where we're at, so be it - there will be injuries/suspensions/resting needed for all of Kelman and Donley, not just Perkins. The 4 of them will fill 3 of the spots (Keeley and Currie being guaranteeds, if available).

The thing is if we do go up to 6 loans with Markanday then any forward we bring in absolutely has to be on a permanent
RW has said that’s a tough ask, as it’s mainly loans available.
Hear what you are saying re 3 from 4, that’s what it would have to be. Not much other choice but far from ideal. Being able to bring someone like Kelman on for last 20 mins could be massive, or any of the other loans come to that.

If this were the case, you'd expect rumours everywhere about it, backed by photos etc...

But you can only have a max of 5 in your match day squad so who ever drops out cannot be named on the bench

Now signed on loan until the end of the season.

O's are trying to sign an out and out striker before Saturday, Money is available but this window is always difficult.

Rumour that we are trying to sign Perkins on a permanent deal to avoid the too many loanees issue.

Not sure how this will work with the loan rules so a bit of an odd one unless we make one of those permanent in the next two days, but sounds like the guy has been smashing it in League 2 so should be a good signing in a position we desperately needed someone.

That would solve the issue about loanees playing. Good signing today. Is he cup-tied

Well, whatdya know, fb post was 100% bang on

Markanday was present at Tuesday's fixture versus Derby County at Gaughan Group Stadium, and stated: "I'm absolutely delighted to have joined the club. I've had some real positive conversations with the gaffer and Martin Ling, and it's a club that is in a really good place at the moment.
