This group have had so much time off this season, there’s no reason any of them need a rest
We have a s mall squad and have had 5 games in 15 days. Cannot support your argument
Just as well they have a week until the next game and it’s an evening kick off then.

It is the FA Cup, not the EFL Trophy..
It is just the FA Cup, not the far more important play off push.
They’ll need the extra money from a potential big 4th round tie to pay the wages for 2 sh*t youngers to get us over the line.

The Xmas schedule is brutal.

I want the lot. In fact I’m eyeing up 4 Wembley appearances this season.

Think we will struggle to fill 7 subs v Derby let alone the 9 you can have.
With DA, TJ, Happe, OON, Ball inj or rested & Currie cup tied
bench will look like
Philips Becks Prats Warrington Brown
assuming bring in Simpson/Cooper & Clare/Obiero
4 subs short of the 9! Guess can fill it with youth players.

Anyone can face anyone in this round, with an open draw containing no seeded teams or regionalised fixtures. FA Cup replays have also ceased this season, meaning each tie will be decided on the day, with extra-time and penalties if games are level after 90 minutes.2 Dec 2024

Plenty of seats available in the North and East stands for this FA cup game. 6pm kick off doesn't help.
Hopefully we can shift a few more and should do on our current form and with tickets at £10 a pop
I only bought my ticket for the Derby game this afternoon . The 6pm KO on a Saturday was really putting me off . However Orient is the club I support so I'll be there . I just hope it isn't raining or snowing .
7 day Forecast says 4° and dry

The "magic" of the FA Cup is a relic of the past. Send out the fringe men and concentrate on the league

Not sure if Nigel will be saying that?
Money for winning 3rd round plus increased chance of a plum 4th round.
But RW can’t send out injured or knackered players so the fringe players will need to step up to the plate.

Knackered players . , they’re now getting a full weeks rest , no excuses on that front !

Most Championship clubs field very weakened teams in the cup too, so we can still beat them

Brutal

. No it wasn’t.
2 home games and an away game 2 hours away. They now have a full week with a late kick off between 2 home games to recover.
They’ve had 2 massive gaps of time off with international breaks this season, something is seriously wrong with their conditioning if they’re struggling for fitness.

They’re not struggling for fitness. The work rate we get through with our press, we must have one of the fittest squads in the league.
It’s about allowing the body time to recover. They haven’t had that. Which is when you’re at risk of picking up injuries. As evidenced by the injuries we’re now picking up. This isn’t overly complicated.

Just as well they’re all well rested then. Agyei rolling his ankle has nothing to do with how many games they’re playing.

Because of the recent scheduling, no one is well rested.
Agyei didn't roll his ankle, it was from contact. And because his body will almost certainly have been fatigued, he was more susceptible to becoming injured from that contact. I know your sort don't like this word but it is actual science.

Should be a tasty fixture with the O’s incredible form and Derby having lost 4 of their last 6. They will definitely see it as a banana skin.
Good to see the south and west stands almost sold out. Should be a good gate (and one where the announced attendance actually is bums on seats. For a change).

Shame we can’t give it a go with our first 11, although hopefully we can give them a match.

Shortage of upfront options means we could look to play Keeley as a 9 and bring Philips in goal.

Christ, how many still left in the East and North though?
