The forecast says no snow until the evening and that’s not much

Do we want to risk one of our star players slipping on ice and being out for the rest of the season?

Time the club did the right thing and cancelled the game and rescheduled it to a midweek in March when the conditions will have improved :ugeek:

Won't our new posh pitch make it playable whatever the weather?

This was my impression as well.

I recall a game a couple of years ago at Christmas, the first season the new pitch was put in. We had Sutton at home, I think the only League 2 game, or certainly one of that went ahead that day. It was Baltic and there had been snow overnight.

Can’t see it being in jeopardy

I think that was the game we hired a Heated Dome to cover the pitch. It cost a few bob but it got the game on.

From what I can remember, the last game to be called off was decided by the police deeming the surrounding areas as unsafe - icy pavements and the volume of people. I can't see that being the case prior to kick off.
The pitch will no doubt be covered and heated too.

It was very cold (despite sun) on the manor today but the pavements and areas around the ground were dry and not icy / slippy in the slightest. I can’t see that changing at all overnight.

Match will be on.

I would have thought that if the match was going to be called off it would have been done today to stop Shrewsbury travelling, which they probably did this afternoon.

The Shrewsbury team will get here but the forecast maps may limit the number of their fans being willing to risk the journey.

It'll take until midday to reach 4C tomorrow. Will the pitch thaw in time?

Don't give him any ideas for a Gregg Wallace approved cartoon for his rag.

£1 for Panduh still works out at roughly 3 times more per sheet than Andrex

There's no place for racism and misogyny at Orient. :x

I thought it was Misogyny Day at the Orient. Last week it Homophonic Day and we had Alan Comfort say a piece on then pitch before the game.
