At least Andy Street was a mayor, unlike Tory loser, Shaun Bailey, who was rewarded for his failure with a seat in the House of Lords for life.
Going by that criteria why wasn't Southgate given a seat in the Lords?

Please could you elaborate on why this is deserved? Or was this a sarcastic comment?

It has an effect on all those that work or travel into London. However would be interested to know where you got that stat.

So a person is a gammon if they don't particularly like someone's character or political views..
A gammon is an angry, white, right wing fellow. You know, the type that strongly disapprove of Sadiq Khan but approve of Donald Trump
Thanks for that enlightenment. Actually, I think you left out the word 'old' before white, you know.

Been given a knighthood for the simple fact that he's been london mayor for eight years.

The fact he's still in office says more about those that have gone up against him at election time than anything else.

What a joke.
I completely agree .

Londoners are losing £4 million every year through former Mayor Boris Johnson’s onerous contract letting out the London Stadium, according to information gained by Assembly Member Bassam Mahfouz.

So grateful Sir Sadiq wasn't responsible for this f#ck up.

As a resident of Birmingham I see your Sir Sadiq Khan and raise you Sir Andy Street to whom the good people of Brum gave the Spanish archer at the last opportunity!

Any news on Boris's floating garden thing. Last I heard it cost £30M and still not the first buds of spring in sight.

A precursor to the Covid theiving?

What about that money he punted to his AmericanLadyFuck? Any news on that?

I’m loving the idea of Khan being give a knighthood, mostly because a) the usual suspects will be losing their poo poo over it, and b) Khan becoming a Knight before Johnson is worth every single penny that the grinning idiot cost us Londoners during his disastrous, corrupt tenure.

No news on them, as they aren't Muslim Men.

Only news we should be hearing about is the
Land sold to Lord Houchens pals for a £ an acre & earning investors £50 mill odd a year instead of it easing the tax payers burden.

They keep managing to muddy the waters.
It's a long practiced deception , where the rich steal the money & tell the poor people its him that's knicking your stuff matey, not me guvnor now here's 10 Bob for some ale, get yourself drunk but remember it's him that's knicking from you & not me

Beyond the scope of the budget I imagine, along with pretty much everything else!

I'm going to enjoy the conflict between Sir Sadie and the Labour Party - probably in the form of Miss Rachel - about the third runway at Heathrow. It'll be a big 'un, unless Sir Sadie is bought off with taxpayers (our) money. It'll keep the press in a near orgasmic state for many moons.

I guess Labour have sacrificed the environment for the economy there. I'd expect Khan to stick to his principles but there probably won't be much he can do about it.
