It's been discussed several times on other threads how bringing in a defensive midfielder can help the team. Neither Vincelot nor Dawson were particularly creative either. And stop with the nonsense about not passing forward, FFS.

Give the guy and Ross' judgement a chance.

Good luck to you George. Enjoy your stay in East London.

Would have preferred someone experienced to be fair, think we are lacking leadership on the pitch without Jobi.

Can't see him displacing either Clay or Wright to start, so it'll probably be Gorman's place on the bench which is gone.
He has played there for the development side but only in games where the opposition don't have great forwards. He's 5'7" so he definitely cannot be relied upon at centre back.
According to available information on the internet about George Marsh, he is 1.6 meters tall, that is 5'3'' in feet and inches.
To compare, Dean Cox height is 1.63 meters tall, 5'4'' tall in feet and inches.

I Googled his name and several sources all give the same answer, e.g 5'3'' (1.6 M )
Also Wikipedia say the same.

Not questioning ETR's assessment of him as a player, just saying that type of player even if not creative himself can improve the balance of the team by being able to play in a 2 in midfield allowing Wright or whoever plays next to him to play further forward and give us the option to change formation if necessary

If Spurs gave him a new contract, eight weeks ago, it must mean they rate him. That'll do for me. He'll do fine for us

If he really is as little as the stats say (and the photo with Ross backs it up), he must be one hell of a player if Spurs think he's got a chance of making it.

We've got offensive midfielders coming out our ear'oles. We needed a tackler, we've now got one.

If he proves to be as good as the last Spurs youngsters we've had , actually that will do for me as well.

I whole heartedly agree. An attacking central midfielder is what we've been crying out for for quite some time. I hoped Gorman would step up but it hasn't happened.

5'10" it says on Wiki (for Carroll), but I'm not convinced.

That Addai who played against us for Cheltenham on the opening day was pretty tiny too, and his wiki claims he's 5'8", which seems... optimistic

We have 3-4 already. We were never going to get another one.

Glad to see we're already writing this guy off, much like our season after 3 games and 4 points

Who's writing him off? He's just not the type of midfielder most of us felt we needed. He's too similar to what we already have.

We need an experienced, tough ball carrying midfielder who can win a few balls...

Lingy brings in 5ft3 kid who's never played mens football before, and couldn't carry the shopping home by the looks of him.

All (semi) jokes aside, welcome George and all the best.

I don’t know the first thing about this kid but I do know I’m not worried in the least about his height! There’s been plenty of good little ‘uns over the years and here’s hoping this lad will be another. Welcome on board George - go get ‘em son! 👍

With all due respect, 'most of us' don't know who he is & really wouldn't know what we need.
I've read we need a tough tackling defensive midfielder which I'm led to believe Marsh is. We also need experience, why? I'd rather take a young player with potential than a 31 year old who's been in League 2 all his career.
Then we need an attacking Midfielder, because Brophy, JMD & Dennis isn't enough. At this rate we'll have a squad of 35 players
