Grahams knee f*cked. Could be the last thing he does on a football pitch. Feel for the lad

Ten men for the rest of the game. Really turning into one of those seasons where we can’t catch a break

Guess so but being proactive has its risks but I’d prefer that. You can’t account for putting someone on and them being injured in 2 mins

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
Using all the subs by half time would be rash, with 20 minutes left to go seems... reasonable? Also, he gets stick for not changing things up and now gets stick for doing it to early. The life of a football manager.

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
Get what you say but we were only 1-0 down. Wasn’t long ago you could only make 3 subs in a game so now that it’s 5 it seems obvious to only use 4 before the last 5-10 mins

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
Indeed, if he puts people on with 5 mins left you can imagine the responses "not enough time to do anything"Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:30 pm Using all the subs by half time would be rash, with 20 minutes left to go seems... reasonable? Real shame for Graham, got to wonder with both him and Theo breaking down was it too much too soon for them?

Didn’t Graham have lots of injury problems before he came to us? Feel sorry for the lad but if you continue to sign injury prone players you are asking for trouble.

It’s looking like it’s going to be one of those seasons. It’s hard to see us not getting relegated at the moment.

What do you mean were Now in trouble, we were already in trouble, with this squad we will be lucky to get out of bottom four, the rest of the season, sadly, we are L2 bound.

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
This would be a decent squad in league 2, but I thought the policy was signing players who could compete in the division above?

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
The term's a bit too dramatic but I'm struggling to find a more appropriate one - either way, feels like we're in a bit of a death spiral here. On paper, we should have enough to pull clear of the bottom 4 but it's just not happening and it hasn't happened for us since the start of the season, for various reasons.
Not sure what we do from here. I don't think we'd get anyone better than RW, would be happy with him staying for years more but feels like something needs to change if we want to stay up.

If we can get some decent players in January then no reason we can’t survive.

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
Games against the likes of Huddersfield won’t decide if we stay up or not, it’s the games against the teams around us. Win most of the next block of games coming up before the end of the year and things will look a lot better, confident we’ve got enough to survive

Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
It was a completely toothless display but Huddersfield are a decent side (even though they didn’t really look like it). We have had ok results lately and have some better fixtures coming up. Still think we can stay up

Teams that probably don't deserve to go down, get relegated every season.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:46 pm The term's a bit too dramatic but I'm struggling to find a more appropriate one - either way, feels like we're in a bit of a death spiral here. Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
Very true. But to be fair, bar the first 3 games of the season we've largely got the results we've deserved and our current position reflects that.RBMarshall wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:51 pmTeams that probably don't deserve to go down, get relegated every season.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:46 pm The term's a bit too dramatic but I'm struggling to find a more appropriate one - either way, feels like we're in a bit of a death spiral here. Re: Exiles thread - Huddersfield (H)
How do you get any player, let alone decent, with no money?
That’s the problem.
We will just end up with a couple of cheap young loanees again, or a crocked player who has been injured all season, who needs games.
