I was sat in one of the home stands with the Orient fans just to the right of me, so I had a decent view of the crowd. And I can indeed confirm that things were looking very ugly.

And how did the behaviour look?

Or rather, to return to not their seat.

Can you imagine booking a seat at the pictures or the theatre or a plane and thinking nah, don't worry about the number, I'll go where I want.

That’s more or less what the Orient Fans were singing last night .

The dickhead mentality of quite a few righteous Orient fans who take to Twitter and other forms of social media mocking fellow fans who try and sit in the seat they paid for pisses me right off.

Not sure how many of you are aware as I know some or have met some of you in real life but I’m getting over bowel cancer and as a result any seats I book have this in mind due to the fact that the extensive surgery I’ve been through can still be painful and needs protecting, I also without lowering the tone (is that possible on here?) occasionally need the bathroom urgently so aisle seats are always selected.

Away games are a treat when the boys got a week off from football on a Saturday or it’s close enough for a school night game but sometimes I question if it’s worth it.

Anyway rant over

Away games are usually unreserved seating arent they?

I guess when its a sell out, seats need to be reserved but fans then need to be able to pick where they're sitting and thats not going to happen when you're buying it via your own club.

Big mess and makes a mockery of safe standing.

Clubs need to decide what approach they're taking and enforce the rules from the start.

I rather like "sit/stand where you want" as a rule, but obviously there are limits to this, especially in resprect to people with particular needs. The shocking thing about last night was that they've been selling out that away end most weeks for the last 4 years, so they really should know how to make it work by now.

Usually unreserved and if there’s 300 of us in a 1,000 seater stadium, that’s fine.

But when there’s 2,300 of us in a 2,300 block, you have to sit where you’re allocated.

This isn’t difficult stuff.

They’re probably not used to div bags thinking they can sit where they want.

I don't think our fans are uniquely obnoxious, unfortunately - even if they think they are special.

It was the usual faces last night.
There were about 10 young Herberts in my carriage on the Tube on the way over, nothing terrible but a bit lairy and obnoxious (although one did help a lady with her suitcase) all in the Football Factory gear and properly pissed up. Saw them again as I went in and the OB had already pulled half of them to one side so assume they, and the Club, obviously knows who they are.
“There were 10 young lads on the way to football in the same carriage as me. They were a little bit noisy, but that’s expected with them travelling to football and being excited about it. Not only did they cause no trouble they helped another passenger with her bags. Obviously I didn’t say anything to them at the time, I waited until I got home to post snarky comments on a forum about them and how they were dressed”
