Who is saying he is nailed on on his way to Orient?Lucky7 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 1:16 pm Wow some guy born in Plaistow just left Football Club in the North via mutual consent used to play for Arsenal and Spurs has links with Justin Edinburgh nailed on by some he’s on his way to Leyton Orient?
He has about 9 more game experience than Ross Embleton
I don’t think so

Not paying the players (and most likely the manager) along with the winding up petition.

Re: Sol Campbell Leaves Macclesfield
I am only telling you what I heard from someone who I sat next to at Macclesfield who told me he was an ex chairman/manager of Maccs
He alleged Sol worked for free last year & in his words, Sols a millionaire he doesn't need the money & was desperate for an opening in the managerial world, he also alleged Sol was working for free this year,
But I am not saying the case only what someone in the know told me,
If Sol had any sh*t at Maccs, he is well entitled to walk don't you think.
On a different note this old boy plus his mates rubbed my face in it when Maccs scored goal 2 & 3 as I said an O's goal was coming.

We have had success with ex Spurs defenders,
I wouldn't be against it,
Defenders statistically make the best managers,
Strikers are Pony.

Re: Sol Campbell Leaves Macclesfield
For many reasons, I would be VERY surprised if Sol was appointed manager of Leyton Orient.
For just one reason, anyone that does come in will have to be prepared to work with the existing set up and I would think that as a strong personality, that Sol will want to be his own man too much to fit into our club. Another reason is that anyone coming here would I have thought have to have to very experienced and with more than just a few games of managing a club under his belt. Anyway, good luck to Sol and hope he has better luck next time around if he does work again as a football manager, he has shown now that he has got the ability to do the job. Lastly, wonder why new players signed for Macclesfield this season if getting their wages paid on time is an issue ?

Re: Sol Campbell Leaves Macclesfield
It’s all a bit odd though, seeing as he was doing pretty well. The official MTFC statement doesn’t give anything away either.
Personally I don’t think Embleton is up to the job, as he just doesn’t have the experience. I fully understand why the club gave him the job and I even think it was about the only option the club had at the time. The club knew this, which is why all three of the coaching staff are interim. I also think that Ross will have the grace to step down if he thinks it’s not going to work, to save damaging all the hard work that JE did.
It’s a horrible situation that we found ourselves in, and I can’t think of anyone being in a similar one.
Regardless of all this, I’m not sure that Campbell will be right for the job either. Isn’t he a bit of a Tory boy on the quiet?

Perhaps he may not want to do it again, I certainly do not know what he wants to do next, time will tell on that score.

I do not think that suitability of our next manager ( That is if one does get appointed this season ? ) will be judged purely on what political party he votes for !!Stowaway wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 3:27 pm It’s all a bit odd though, seeing as he was doing pretty well. Seems like he does want another management role
