I know money talks but he’d have had more game time here under Richie’s new 2 up top formation.
Ruel has been injured.

And never will unless we get new investors in our club , we have got a far as we can on loans and pound shop players.
Without massive new investors I believe at best we will stagnate in this league and at worst get relegated, I sincerely hope to be proved wrong.

Reason for that is that he got injured pre season so is just getting back to full fitness.

I think the Birmingham comparison is silly but like Bristol, Peterborough and plenty of other normal clubs in this division, the club needs to be investing in these sorts of players, personally think this was looking a gift horse in the mouth, a 20 year old striker who scored nine goals out of position last season.

When the club can't even afford a GK (the rest seem to manage it?) there's next to zero chance they'll invest in players.

Our model seems to be developing players for their parent clubs to profit from. El Miz 400k, Forde apparently 600k... Kelman next?

ooh, I do hope so

Ruel has been getting up to speed. Looked enthusiastic but hasn't really made his mark yet

Was delighted by the Shaq signing, just before the deadline

Saw my O mate this morning, who rates them both

Some horrid people might start referring to Orient as Bristol Rovers Preparatory Academy, but I won't be joining them :D

We get benefit too. Taking Idris as an example, we had a player worth £400k for free, for 2 seasons, paying him a fraction of his wages. That's real good value.

Shaq, last season scored 9 goals for us, again cost us zilch, we only paid a fraction of his wages etc etc.

Unless we can get really wealthy investors in, this will be the model, & be the only way we can even begin to compete in league 1

I think that was Lydon Dykes from QPR . Also well done for signing Shaq Forde . He's a very good young player with bags of potential . I was very disappointed we couldn't get him back at Orient . He should do very well for you .

Jay Stansfield from Fulham signed today for a league One record £10million reportedly rising to between £15 and £20million with add ons according to the Birmingham local press.

You would imagine Birmingham will run away with the League One title

if you're interested, our forum quotes '£400k plus add-ons'. Which might add up to the same thing

Nearly half a million

almost gifted the goal by a goalie error. He's slowly livening up and getting more involved

Forde came off the bench and looked a bit clumsy. Maybe trying to hard, maybe not yet match fit

was a tight game. Tykes are good in attack, not so much in defence. Big side, great manager

Best of luck to you ESG, but I don't think 250k on Ruels wages and 500k + wages for Shaq is the best use of the clubs money. That must be close to a million quid on a mid table players.
