Q.. What were the positives in offering Dayton
a new contract ?, out injured an update on
when he's match ready would be great ..
Also he seemed to take an age to sign the
new deal like he did when he first joined the
Club 2 years ago...
Linked to this...
Was it too sentimental to offer new contracts to the likes of Brill, Widdowson and Dayton when we had opportunities to upgrade these positions by using their salary plus other budget to get better players in?

Q: Why is it, other teams buy fit players that can start in the next game, and have immediate impact, but Orient can only buy unfit players who need time on the bench and only gradually return to fitness?
Look at the three goalscorers Macclesfield had last Saturday as an example
But Macclesfield signed four players last week and none of them started in the next game (against us).
Macclesfield's three scorers signed over the summer. Of the four new players we signed over the summer three started (Wilkinson, Angol and Wright) and the fourth (Dennis) was on the bench as he only joined the day before. So the question doesn't make sense.
Dennis joined on August 1st not the day before Saturdays game .

Sorry, I thought he'd signed on the 2 August, but the point remains the same. ComeOnYouOs specifically said other teams sign players and they play them in the next game. So I was pointing out that three players who Orient signed over the summer did start our next game (i.e. the first game against Cheltenham) and Dennis was on the bench for that game as he was signed the day before. In reality Dennis signed two days before that game, but still reasonable enough for him to only make the bench.

I'd like to know which greedy little gremlin decided free commentary on the Beeb was a luxury we didn't deserve.
That would be the EFL, who own the league's commentary rights & dictate the price that their member clubs have to charge.
