Sounds like a disappointing performance - especially in the final third. Injuries sound alarming.

I can't complain about that . Charlton were the better team and looked stronger at the end . To be honest , we really didn't trouble their keeper all game . Early signs are not good for us this season .

Tbf we deserved it really. Toothless and aimless second half. How many long balls just hit and hope not within 15 yards of an orient player. Very strange tactics.
£5K 1-0 Charlton by the look of it.

Thought Perkins looked lively but no quality like the rest of them in good positions

Disappointing. We didn’t look dangerous today. I thought we did last week. The goal was coming. Never mind. We move on.

Charlton looked bang average tbf. Can’t see them challenging on that performance but deserved winners on the whole

Really had 0-0 all over it with their poor delivery in the final third, in the end just a route one we didn't deal with settled it

Charlton were poo poo & a whistle happy ref helped them to a 1-0 win. We didn't deserve to lose that

Yep but it would have been nice if he made his first save in 3 games.

Yeah , well we didn't deserve to lose against Bolton but we did . It's these fine margins that makes all the difference

67/8 % pass success tells it's own problem, what is the plan, the plan last week was the long ball to Kelman between the left and centre back but that isn't going to work every week

Subs and quality on the bench too, last week Adeboyo came on and changed it, today Aneeke, every Orient sub is the same sort of player, I know Wellens didn't like Piggott but there is a place in the squad for that sort of player not necessarily Piggott but a plan b

All about the squad depth. Charlton brought on two decent strikers, we brought on two youths. Can't understand why Pratley didn't come on rather than Warrington, it needed some leadership out there at the end.

Unfortunately at present the concerns over the summer signings are coming to pass, those young players need to adjust to the level and fast or we need some more senior pros in to balance it out.

A LB has to be a priority before window shuts, Sweeney isn't up to it imo

Charlton stole the win aided by a terrible referee, charlton certainly weren't the better team

Bit of a mugging yes though for as bad as the ref was he could've given them a cheap penalty and didn't have a hand in their goal

Yes , I agree the ref wasn't great but Charlton did finish the stronger . It's going to be a long season .

The back 4 (well, 6 incl subs) were all ok. Brown and Kelman again the highlights. Obeiro ok too but I don’t like him as a 4, he’s wasted.

All of Donley, ONeill and Agyei were anonymous. I don’t think the 4-2-2-2 formation helped us but regardless, you can’t go to Charlton with only 8 players and expect anything. Warrington is nowhere near the El Miz replacement yet, DJ and Perkins are both bit part players at best.

Will wait to see it back bur initial reaction was Herring should have used his arms to try and save the shot rather than just flopping to the floor.

I hope the next 2 players coming in before the end of August are decent. They need to be.

Brown like last week was absolutely knackered after 80 and Kelman just put every shot straight at the keeper

Seen them given though and with some of the other calls Charlton had their way during the game it wouldn't have been surprising had they got it
