The plan from Spurs might be to give him half a season in League One, see how he does, then the second half of the season in the Championship - as with Harry Kane all those years ago.

This signing could really upset the apple cart.

Looking at his video's it seems that every time he gets the ball, he moves and passes forward!

Kane joined us in January for 6 months , just before we beat Norwich in the cup

Archibald is scheduled to return by January so possibly that’s a factor?
I doubt that would be the case . Theo has been out injured for about a year and will need time to get back up to speed . Hopefully there would be an option to extend Donley's loan until the end of the season .
Theo injured fro a year?
You sure about that?

Don’t know the lad but it’ll be Spurs dictating the terms and only wanting him here until January, presumably because they’re expecting him to be ready for bigger and better things.

Taken a while but nice we’re now in this position.

We were originally told he would be out injured until about Christmas time or early January . He got injured in early February this year so that' makes nearly a year .

RW said Theo supposed to be out until Jan, but it would t surprise him if he’s back before Xmas…
But any return would have to be carefully managed, game by game, with mins increasing each game, like Dan Agyei, so I wouldn’t expect to see Theo at full steam playing 90 mins at least until March.
But great to hear he is back training.
Love Theo
So I would expect if Donnelly gets a good run of games and performs well for us, Spurs will extend his loan until end of season.

But you said " Theo has been out for a year", not would have been out for a year. Add to that Wellens said Theo was flying in training & we were hoping for good news . Which means he could get back early.

Big things are expected of Donley and he’s looked good in the (limited) game time he’s had.
Based on how little we’ve given game time to young players, hopefully Orient get a full season with him, and he steps up properly next year

That’s what I’m thinking and hoping about as well Stan. If we get Donley we’re going to need him for the season. It’s horrible watching a player leave mid season after becoming an important member of our squad. I’m thinking about what happened with Jakupovic

In this crazy world of who a footballer follows or unfollows on social media, determines their transfer moves - Jamie Donley now follows Noah Phillips, Zech Obiero, Sonny Perkins, and the club official account on Instagram - apparently (according to young'uns) this means its a done deal - who knows?

Probably but we've been proven to be good at developing young players . It would do Donley a lot of good if we could get him .

Number of potential reasons...

1. Not happening
2. Never was happening
3. Waiting on departures from our side
4. Trying to sort out documentation / registration before announcing
5. Issue with medical
6. Other club swooped in and gazumped us

We can only wait and see, could just have been another rumour but came from a fairly reliable spurs related account

Absolutely fantastic news . Do you think he's been signed in time to make his debut tomorrow . Anyway he would be available for the Birmingham game and we're going to need him . Welcome to Orient Jamie and good luck .
