Maybe this is what Richie meant by 4 or 5 signings, maybe 6, are needed.
We need that many before this, now need 7
Knowing how fast we move in the transfer market I'm not confident .

Sanders has gone to Crewe for an undisclosed fee
Bye bye Colonel
I'm not fussed he's gone becasue he always seemed to be injured . However if Sanders can stay fit then Crewe has just signed a decent player.

Can’t believe we didn’t throw in Pigott as part of the deal, instead of them paying us an undisclosed fee, we should have said no fee, instead take Pigott

We've got to off load Pigott somehow .

He will be, no way RW can keep him in the squad for this season, he will be shipped out on loan to NL for sure.

Why is it when Orient make a transfer regardless of the direction is the fee undisclosed? It would be interesting to see what money is being received or on the very rare occasion leaving the club.
Always makes me think there is something a little shnide going on….

Because all EFL transfers are undisclosed regardless of the clubs involved

Probably an undisclosed fee because the the "selling" club isn't getting a good deal, but they like the fans to appear they are. Likewise the "buying" club like their fans to think they are forking out. Also looks good for the player. I suspect that Orient have lost a player they wanted to offload for no fee, perhaps even with a sweetner to the player for a potential salary drop going down a division. This is not fact, just my personal thoughts.

What concerns me is the fact we still have Monc and Pratley who can’t last more than one half a game and if this garage sale continues then it is a possibility that we could also loose Galbraith (hopefully not)
. I know Ling and the board like to save on wages and was just wondering if there waiting till after the Herts game so they can save on paying out for a Premier Inn and all you can eat breakfast, then sign new players? Think I no why they signed Kelman, he’s the only one fast enough to catch and stop the coach, correction mini bus, from leaving for away games.

Wait until 5th August before you start worrying about the state of the squad

Think you’re missing the point. As a coach you want your players in as soon as possible, not only to work on fitness but set pieces attacking and defending, team play bonding and much more. Leaving it to the 5th and beyond is absolutely ridiculous. It’s happened last season and look at the start we had. RW said as much. Our start this season I would argue is even tougher therefore even more important we galvanise the team as quick as possible.

Agreed in principle, but very possible Crew had to pay us a small fee which we then had to pay to Max to subsidise his new lower wage.

Richie said 4 or 5, maybe 6 just a day ago. He obviously knew this deal was likely when giving his numbers.
It won’t be 7.

I remember RW saying that Sanders and Agyei had come from clubs where they didn't have to work out of possession, and were suffering injuries while they adjusted to our style of play.
Maybe RW now sees Sanders as not fitting into our system, so happy to replace him with someone that does?

I know we are always slow in signing players, and as fans we want to see biz done quicker, but slowly slowly catchy monkey.
However saying that, yes we are the tortoise
but some days it would be nice to be the hare
But we all know who wins the race in the end

Has some talent but not the fitness to play in Wellens system. Shame, he had a game early on in the season where he played on the right of a midfield 3 where he looked absolutely brilliant, but then got injured again.
6 players presumably will be 1 gk, 2 full backs, a new dm, a new am and a new striker.

If we need 5,6 or 7 players, especially if they are to be first team players, then I would have thought Richie will want them in this week or early next week. As stated it’s not just fitness that’s simple enough, it’s bonding with the squad and fitting into game plans that takes time. This amount of transfers is huge so we need to hit ground running. Out first 4-5 games are against some of the big clubs in the league. This is just my opinion but getting spanked because we have late comers or what’s left in the bargain bins is going to have a huge impact on the rest of the season and the mind set of the players.

Barely noticed him last season. Definitely got some quality coming in if we’re actively selling players.
