I have to disagree with you.
Ruel, would be hard to replace. He runs non stop, his energy is a boost to the team, he can play as a number 9, or a 10, or out wide, and he was top scorer last season too.
I really hope he signs, and soonish

Replaceable imo dogs, yes he has energy but he can’t lead the line or play out wide, best suited to play alongside another striker but Wellens won’t do that.

This, have people forgotten how toothless we were in December with Ruel upfront before Agyei came back?

Wellens has him sussed, 20 mins in the Tehoué role to use as a wildcard but little more

There are plenty who are so desperate for him to stay that suggest he's a key player for us rather than a bench impact sub so in that regard yes.

Whether he stays or goes we still need the Drinan replacement who can be backup / competition for Agyei i.e. strong and quick able to hold the ball up and also stretch teams

Has always contriubted a good number of goals, but at the same time not so many that he's irreplaceable

Personally I’m more worried about loosing Lester, that kit won’t wash itself.

Probably get somebody on a free like most our signings.

As for wages, I dont know what Ruel is on or commands now. Market rate I guess. We dont get a discount because he's come through our ranks.
