If we try it , then those of us who are mischievous will start a thread with a title of Best Orient Right Winger and begin talking about Tories. Or highjack well meaning football threads to steer them in other directions

It works fine atm, leave as it is.

Seasons could be relatively short periods of time - 1 week/1 month - so as to keep things interesting.
When we know how Boardin' level is set, it's key to have an alias that will fall into each level

Isn't the solution to leave and join the other dreary Board that Mongo runs. I have.

They only ever talk about Orient and there's no WUM over there until now of course. Watch out for their new Boreder: Eagle Eye.

Some of us will be able to achieve that. Like having an U23 side.

It doesn’t work fine atm. Anyone who’s spent anytime here can see how toxic it gets, but as soon as someone suggests trying something to address it, it’s all noooo can’t do that!

You'd qualify for the Championship Board. At least this would keep you and CEB apart.

The Reverend wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 6:55 pm This is a genuine question to Admin & LSN:

Have we reached a point where blatantly non-football related content should be moved to its own sub-section on this board?

I appreciate that this route hasn’t been taken in the past and I understand why. I also accept that there will be many cases of blurred lines between what is or isn’t football related content. But there are clear examples of where the topic is completely removed from Orient and football.

This is, after all, a Leyton Orient message board. Do people seriously think that having this forum filled various arguments and feuds unrelated to football is a good thing at all? Where people are making outrageous comments or users set up threads to abuse moderators

The most recent unpleasant situation is, quite frankly, disgusting. A message board about Leyton Orient has been taken over by an unpleasant row about a really serious and emotional topic. It’s toxic. And it’s fuelled by the certain individuals who seem to thrive on conflict and are unable to let things go.
What topic in particular? There is life beyond Orient and surely it impacts on all of us.

It's a 4/6, 8 or 10.

Another thing wrong with having separate boards is that you'll have all the non-moderator-but-wannabes jumping on any post that dares stray off-pitch with cries of "wrong board - ban him!" - It'd probably increase the post count I suppose.

Some coaches call it a 4, some call it a 6, but it means the same thing - it's the holding midfielder, the CDM for the Championship Manager types.

Not sure why you're naming random Orient players from the past ?

It's like 8 is inside right and 10 is the inside left although I have seen 10 play alongside 9 as a double centre forward supported by a 7 or 11 but never both.

Baudry a centre half was a 6.

According to some on this forum, to be frowned upon if you dare to mention what was done in the past football wise !!
Bobby Smith number 9 at Centre forward playing alongside Jimmy Greaves number 10 at inside left was a great goal scoring combination for England and Spurs !
