I find plastic stuff soon goes brittle and breaks. At least wood is repairable and also better for the environment.

No trees were cut down to make my plasticy, non-brittle shed.

Fences need some repairs, both sheds are a bit weather beaten
Where's good for some replacement timber fence panels?
The 6x12ft timber shiplap shed is f*cked, and I'm going to have to replace it. I cannot be arsed painting one every couple years,.and want as little maintenance as possible. Is a metal one a decent alternative?
Have a plasticy one that looks like a giant Wendy House - nearly 10 years old and it looks as good as new.
Is that the one you use as your office?

Mostly jobs around the house that need doing.
The rain and sunshine has made the Laurel trees grow like mad and theyβre getting a short back and sides
My wife is a cleaning fanatic and is always finding jobs to do, still, it beats shopping I guess

Just got back from a week in Athens (which was a blast thanks to the Olympiacos win on Wednesday), so planning on doing the annual garden maintenance as a way to adjust to this climate. Fences need some repairs, both sheds are a bit weather beaten, drain needs unblocking, hedge needs trimming, lawn needs a cut, conservatory gutters need clearing and need to get last year's grease out of the barbecue.
Am thinking of doing a 4 night stint there next spring. You'd recommend Athens?

Definitely. One of the more interesting European capital cities to visit. And the food is incredible.
If you're there for four nights, I'd' suggest two full days in Athens itself, exploring the Agora, the Acropolis and picking one of the main museums. For the third day you could go for a day-long excursion, such as a ferry ride from Piraeus to one of the islands (Aegina or Hydra are good) or to another archaeological site.
If you can arrange to visit when a game is on at any of the four football teams, it's worth trying to get tickets. Spring may be too early for any of the concerts in the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (a restored functioning amphitheatre venue on the Acropolis), but worth checking out just in case any are on as it's a unique experience.
We stayed in the Thissio neighbourhood (on Vasilis). It was within walking distance to the main city centre and all the key sites, and had plenty of bars and restaurants, yet was fairly chilled and relaxed.

I'm pre-sold on Athens - this will be enough to convince the missus I hope.
