Re: New Orient Manager?
No it doesn’t but he will leave before the new season starts weather it’s Barnsley or someone else

Re: New Orient Manager?
Richie does seem a bit petulant at times.
I can't help wondering if, rather than a poor January transfer window, it was something stupid like the club not paying his fines that got to him.
He has belief in most of this squad and a more successful season next year could lead to interest from far bigger clubs than Barnsley.

Re: New Orient Manager?
I did LSN but it will give me no pleasure if I am right. There’s several factors why,to numerous to mention all but here’s a few. He’s northern based, we as a club can go no higher than we are, and I really don’t think the board will back him to the extent he wants. The last window debacle was finally the last straw plus working with Ling isn’t the easiest, even though some people think the sun shines out of his backside. Barnsley have the desire to be a much bigger club. I could obviously be wrong but I wasn’t wrong about Jacket or the wages thing.

Re: New Orient Manager?
This is Ling and Orient were talking about, they have to appoint someone from within and then another six managers before they get the right man. Still he hasn’t gone yet so there’s still hope

Yes, you may be right, Nigel and Kent go on about how transparent we are with fans so hopefully will reveal what’s going on.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 11:35 amUntil the club confirm it, of course it's only speculation.
But come on - if there was a simple explanation for the manager not being there last night and all was hunky dory, it would have been mentioned/apologies would have been given/jokes would have been made.
The absolute silence says it all.
I'm gutted.
It’s a shame that the interviewer didn’t ask Matt Harrold to explain his comment about the Manager situation rather than leave us all guessing.
As somebody else has posted, it’s quite a delicate time just now with fans deciding whether to renew their season tickets or not, all this speculation certainly won’t help.

Re: New Orient Manager?
RW ain't leaving us. This is a WUM boarding.
He was in the stand on Saturday and last night, why would he come to such an event when he's now trying to take a family holiday before the pre-season signings and training.
WUM, WUM, WUM IMO but what do I know as just another boarder and what does the original post-maker know either

How would we know 'he's gone on holiday'?
By the way, thats not the reason I've heard elsewhere.

Perhaps he's gone on holiday to Barnsley and everyone's jumping to conclusions?
Can you actually go on holiday in Barnsley?

Hilarious, maybe he will apply for a cleaners job.LeytonOstone wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 9:52 amRoss?Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 9:20 am PT is not a consideration (whether he joins Richie or not). There's no-one else internal (thankfully Richie got rid of McMahon as soon as he could, otherwise he'd be in the frame).
After having to deal with a head-strong, impulsive character for the past 2 years, I can see Lingy reverting back to type and opting for another inexperienced coach who won't cause him as much grief.
Who is out there that fits that bill?

Re: New Orient Manager?
The contract extension. Watch Harrolds interview after Shrewsbury, specifically the last minute or so. "Having the right people in the right places".Cheshunto wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 3:50 pmYes, you may be right, Nigel and Kent go on about how transparent we are with fans so hopefully will reveal what’s going on.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 11:35 amUntil the club confirm it, of course it's only speculation.
