Ultimately the question is “who is responsible for controlling fans behaviour?”. I think their answer is twofold. The club also has a responsibility for the safety of those at the match, which they have failed so they deserves a punishment. A financial one for the first offence. Points dedications & behind closed doors for further.

Also, is the club pay one of these rent-a-hi-vis companies for their match day “security”, which most clubs do, then that company loses its contract immediately as they are unfit to serve the purpose they are being paid for. A but like what happened to the thugs for hire at AFC Wimbledon.

If a fan wants to get on the pitch, is it really possible to stop them?

No referee should be able to feel like they can make big calls without being able to look a fan in the eye and say “I stand by it”

Sorry CEB normally agree with a lot of what you say. But you're saying bullying and intimidation is ok?. But you've never made a balls up at work have you.
