Still adding to the wage budget without any going out
Transfer window hasn't closed yet .
Sadly not.

Seeing as we're not bringing anyone else in, can someone sever all communication links at both Brisbane and Portman Roads please.
If somebody like Drinan leaves it might free up a spot for one more player to come in

Young and quick is good for the wide spots, gives us some cover there now

I've no problem with the principle of picking up Premier League cast offs but once again it calls into question the purpose of our academy. Charlie Pegrum is the only one being talked about from the current crop, he's the same age as this O'Neill and is currently learning the game at differing Division 6 clubs....
Indeed, Ling's idea of a U23 side made up of these Premier League youths is a good one, though don't see the point in training kids up from 11 upwards internally when you can get ready made players here and now

That's a bad sign. It's a proven fact that thickos make the best footballers.

Don't want to do that. RW also said that we'd had an offer from another L1 club for a player that was short of our valuation. He mentioned no names and did not say it was Drinnan, but it was in response to the Drinnan speculation.

You'd risk losing El Miz so we can offload Drinnan?

No chance - just cut the lines now!

(Although watching those highlights back, it's their 57 that looks like a proper player).

Those highlights make me even more convinced that Sol Brynn really really really needs to not get injured again.

I'm one that thinks the El Miz stuff is all a load of clickbait on social media that overflows to message boards. At least I hope it is. Also, I suspect the offer for a player was Moncur (or Happe). Drinnan is injured.

There are a few good prospects coming through Philips, Harvest, Tanga and Obiero among them but we suffer from not having an under 21 team where they can play above their age in the Orient spotlight, they end up playing in local non league football to help them toughen up. I have seen quite a few of the academy players out on loan this season and they all have ability but need to physically develop. Rather than do away with the academy we need to make sure it develops so we can get the status whereby we have top facilities to facilitate under 21 and possibly under 23 teams.

Moncur is on a hefty wage and Happe has been offered a new contract so my guess is it’s not them . Drinan’s injury was due to be healed by now so I still think it’s him

I've seen the U18s once this season and not one of them is ever going to be anywhere near our first team, ever.

Zech is 19 so the year above that lot. I liked the look of him when he was being given some game time - where is he currently?

Our announcement literally says "undisclosed fee". Unless they're being coy about the fee being £0, why would they say that?
Because it has the potential to involve a fee? I don't make the rules, just telling you what Ritchie Wellens said to the Outlook Podcast on Sunday.
Could be a signing on fee or an agents fee or a sell on fee? Or a fee for x amount of appearances?

Obviously can't vouch for his quality but in principle it's a signing that makes a lot of sense. Apparently he prefers playing on the left wing so gives us more cover for Theo and Graham, but also means we have a Sanders alternative that isn't a shagged Moncur.
I think he could be a good asset A young player that RW can nurse and develop into a valuable asset. Better than getting a player that is at the end of his career who just wants a contract that will sse him up to retirement. From his interview he is hungry for success . Only time will will tell . Fulham will obviously want a % of any selling on fee .
