Frost is harder today than the rest of the week. Think it's gonna be touch and go as to whether it's on.

Class war, innt?

They've got to supply the toffs with their specialist moon-cheese, but the working man's game can gtf. SMH.

Anyone know when the inspection is? "Afternoon" is a bit vague.

The bit of the afternoon before the game, I reckon

Brand new hybrid pitch with covers, the idea of a pitch inspection is ludicrous, get on with the game

Just weighing up the pros and cons of some unexpected domestic Brownie points for having a few more free hours on a Saturday afternoon vs another slightly annoying midweek game.

How do these hybrid pitches prevent freezing?

The problem is probably the about 10 yard wide strip that is forever in the shadow of the JE Stand. I don't think that ever gets the sun except in the height of summer and it ain't summer now that's for sure.

It's 2024, we've played matches for years in all weather, I get it's more modern thinking but just get on with it unless there is knee-high snow, if people are able to walk the streets of Leyton then the pitch is more than playable, if you abroad they just get on with it, this country a bit of cold or heat and it all goes to pot.

There will be another pitch inspection tomorrow to confirm that the situation hasn't deteriorated overnight but green light for now, so Bolton will be on their way.

Great news.

It’s not meant to be as cold tonight and should be warmer tomorrow at this time
