Mathematical safety as early as possible please then anything else is a bonus. Without those two OGs at Cheltenham we could've been looking at a very different story so mid-table and a chance to swap out fringe players for L1 quality would do nicely.

I was one,I said he won’t be here next season NOT because he’s a bad manager far from it but because he’s relatively young is northern based and probably wants to go as far as he can, unfortunately at this time he can only take the club so far
How far do you expect Orient to go? This is Orientms level. Unless they get some very rich owners, this is the extent of it.
I disagree . I think we can make it into the Championship but at this moment in time I don't think the club is ready . Consolidation in League 1 for a couple of seasons and build a platform for the next step up . Saying that , obviously if we did manage to somehow pull it off this season and got promoted I'd be as happy as a pig in sh*t .
If Orient go up with the current set up, they’ll go straight back down with single digit points.

I agree and that's why I said elsewhere that the club isn't ready yet for the next step up .

What happens with El Miz will have a huge impact on where we finish up this season.
Top 10 if he stays, not sure where if he goes.
I know it's all down to money and what we can afford but we must. try all we can to keep him . Idris is an important part of our midfield .
Maybe if we all focus positive thoughts then
We can find a Money tree outside Brisbane rd

When Idris made it clear he wanted to come back here on loan in pre season Ling made an offer to buy him but we were miles off the Ipswich valuation, I suspect that Is because they have the option of another 12 months on his contract until June 2025 and there are a half a dozen clubs interested in buying him his price has gone up again.

No need to be delusional. The owners have already said multiple times we need big investment to make the step up.

£5.5 Million from TV, How much more would we need ?

Depends on how much of that will be reinvested and not paid back to current investors. Also, everyone else will be getting that money, so it doesn’t necessarily give Orient a boost.

When have any of the current Investors said that LOFC owed them money ?
Who is everyone else ?

I doubt any Investor will ever get much if anything back from LOFC and I'm sure they are aware of that when they sign up, any Investment is a calculated gamble and I guess the first chance of us turning a profit will be if and when we get to the championship. Sure all of our costs will go up but the prize money and TV money are far higher. So there would be a chance of a small surplus.

Lucky they didn’t put you in charge of the sales pitch!
Every investor that followed Nigel in the door has done so with the possibility of making a big return.

Keeping him is out of our control. If Ipswich sell him which looks likely he is going for at least 150-200k with the amount of interest. Will our owners be able to compete I don’t think so. I’ve got a feeling he has played his last game for us.

If we can spunk £300k on Moncur, we should be able to find similar for someone of El Mizs obvious ability, importance to the team, and potential resale value.

We don’t have that sort of money left in the January budget.

Making any sort of return on investment,if they EXPECT a return on investment they would be better of in stocks and shares.

High risk/high return, innit.
It’s a massive gamble but the payback is potentially massive if the club get things right.

They are unlikely to get any returns, no guarantees of making money in the game, everyone knows that investing in football isn’t going to pay rich dividends unless you are very very lucky.

Exactly. High risk, high reward.
If you’re a multi, multi millionaire, it’s worth throwing a couple hundred grand into something ‘fun’ like this, with the remote possibility of making a serious return if we hit Championship (or higher!)

No, that’s not how investment works.
If Orient are up, then 23 other Championship clubs. Then you have those who are big clubs and those eho have been recently relegated
