You think that means one of Happe, Thompson or Turns are heading out the exit door then... surely we aren't funding 5 CBs until end of the season when we need more attacking options?
why not? We seem to have been happy with 6 CMs (Pratley, Brown, El-Miz, Sanders, Moncur, Galbraith)
Because Travis is crying about budget and we need to improve upfront more than CB?
The extra CM in summer was a bit of a strange one yet of those Pratley has to be managed carefully, Sanders has struggled for fitness and Moncur is a passenger, maybe that's what the extra numbers were for, who knows
Travis isn’t crying about the budget but he’s pointed out to our more “entitled” fans like yourself that his willingness to fund the club has limits and the budget set at the start of the season is close to being spent.

That interview where he was getting rather grumpy about funding and food has probably coloured my view on that so fair enough take your point (not quoting everyone above but you all make the same point)
Not a fan of Sotiriou, he's a marmite player I'm not the only one to think that (same on other forum from what I read). We look a better unit with Forde and Agyei playing imo.
Brown is a decent enough squad utility player, you need those (see Clay for NL / L2) but no wouldn't rate him in the El Miz / Pratley category, as seen in the Bolton game.

Just can’t understand? We can’t score goals so bring in a CB ? And Brown is a good squad player?

Did you not see the Cambridge Charlton matches Brown was excellent. Being a utility player is a [positive

Never said it wasn't, it's one of those roles you need in a squad hence why I see him as a younger version of Clay. Does a bit of everything pretty well without necessarily being spectacular at a specific position.

I’m ok with signing Cooper. I thought he was decent for us and particularly strong in the air.
Turns is on loan, Thompson has been out a long time now and I keep reading Happe is moving on.
Young guy with a potential future sell on.
Yes, a little hot headed but that can be managed. He will regret his last sending off. Miles better than a George Ray or Jamie McCart. Get him in.

Pretty quick business from the club as well.
It’s staggering that he has had to be sent home whilst we carry on negotiating. This should have been ready on 1 January.

Wonder if this means Happe is going?
Would not surprise me. Happe is out of contract in July but the club have another year option. Don’t know what that means?. The club might sellin this window toget some cash.

Really strange one.
I would guess he’s here as the replacement for Beckles next season? Not sure how long Omar has on his contract or how much he has left in the legs.

El Miz isn't a particularly 'spectacular' player either. He's a very good player but like our other midfielders he doesn't create enough of his industry into goals.

He’s had one full season of league football playing as a 4 (for us last season in L2).
This is his first season of L1 football playing in a new position, the 8 role that Pratley occupied last year. I’m not sure what people expect.

Swansea were manager-less and then appointed a new manager a few days into the window. Mid January in that context is pretty quick and he's missing a single game as a result.
The narrative that we always leave it last minute or don't act in January is obviously complete bollox but still gets repeated as nauseum..
