Sounds really good , having been all over most of Europe over the years including camping and some cycling you are in for a treat. I have friends who cycle seriously, some in there 60’s and 70’s who cycle the Italian Dolomites and around the French ski resorts in Summer, places like Morzine near the Swiss border. Doing it leisurely and support is the key they tell me. Hope you achieve safely and with excellent after cycling fine dining experience!LittleMate wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 3:02 pmYep. My main inhibitors are the fact that I'm still working and that my wife does not cycle. She will be my support team, possibly even in a camper van. Move on 50 miles and I meet her there. Every 3-4 days we stop and enjoy the surrounds for 48 hours.Daily Express bot wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 1:15 pmQuite modest and very achievable indeed. I like the sound of the sun, just imagining it. Portugal and Italy are fantastic places ,especially if you like your food!LittleMate wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 1:11 pm Cycle around Europe, following the sun. Start in Portugal or Italy and head up to northern Europe before heading south again. Stop along the way to take in the sights and cultures.
I've enjoyed rural Portugal and Italy before and would gladly do it again, but I'm keen to explore Croatia, Greec and south-west Europe. I've toyed with the idea of doing it two successive spring/summers.
