I think restaurants should enforce a headphone policy, and have a few to offer to families who forget to bring them.
They ain’t got the stomach to do that.

Really? Always thought it was fairly clear that Bluey and Bingo were both girls. The fact you're surprised that a popular kids show could have a strong female lead character is very telling.

Bluey's great though.
My favourite quote about Bluey was in a comment under a Guardian article.

'As Bandit is apparently such a perfect dad then no one can criticise me for leaving my kids in front of Bluey on and he can parent mine as well then.'

I do love a bit of Bluey, some do make you get dust in your eye as they're a tad sad. I'm really not looking forward to the next stage of kids TV one flick at cbbc compared to cbeebies and all the wholesomeness seems to dissappear in a blaze of bright flashy lights and loud noises.

I may be opening my self up for abuse but while I agree there are a lot of children and adult that seem to have the phone ect far too loud in the wrong places.

It is also worth being mindful of the situations on the child.

Being the parent of an autistic child sometime the only way we can keep our child calm is to let her watch videos on a phone/tablet. If a child is having a meltdown it maybe a last option rather than a family missing out.

As a family we are always mindful of other people round us and try to keep the volume as low as possible, headphones can be a issue with some individual including our child.

We have had all kinds of comments and looks when our child is having a bad time.

Finally I think the incentive the club did a little while back was great and I hope more to follow.
Having a child on the Spectrum certainly makes you more tolerant of other kids making noise.

Adults playing stuff out loud bothers me more than a bit of peppa pig.

Not a criticism but I wonder how sen kids coped before these devices? Obviously the genie cant go back in the bottle and this is 2024 though, if it works then great.

I put a 1hr daily limit on my kids tablet(its not used daily), the quality of the vast majority of apps is utterly dire, same goes for content on youtube. They also tend to be full of the worst tech practices like micro transactions, loot boxes.
What does my head in most is people having conversations on public transport with the loudspeaker on.

I was on a bus the other team and two people were doing it at the same i nearly got off.

I think they generally use iPads and the like rather than 1980s home computers.

FFS I actually typed that joke but decided it wasn’t funny enough to post. But it was.

I wrote “I think it was an IPad, not a spectrum”

This feels like the bit in shooting stars where Vic tells a joke after Bob does.

I have considered fighting fire with fire and just playing some random crap out loud on my phone until they get the point.
