Well you yourself state he's overweight and unfit. Why would a professional sportsman be in that state after all the time he's been with us.
We know he had long COVID, it may be he is still struggling to recover from it. He doesn't strike me as having a bad attitude or someone who's caning booze all the time.
I’m not a qualified medic but I don’t believe being a fatty is one of the symptoms of long covid.

Definitely Adam Boyd. However, though he'd do nothing all game, he'd then produce a moment of magic to score a winner.

Are you available on Saturday?

Remember he came on for his debut and there was a loose ball that would have put him clean through and he couldn't be arsed to make any attempt to get it.

James Scowcroft ?

Totally agree would top of my list ..
Painful on the eye to watch him play,
Believe Getraint Williams brought him
In, fully understand why he’s never got
back into football management if that
was the calibre of player he was bringing into
clubs ..

A lowering of your threshold for intense physical activity is a symptom of long covid in some.

Moncur doesn’t strike me as lazy.

Dean Morgan and Armand Gnanduillet
Dean Morgan was one of the most frustrating players to watch at Orient, had obvious talent but zero work ethic wouldn't even break out of walking pace let alone jogging most of the time

Adam Boyd is definitely up there. Bags of talent but could barely be arsed.

Was Alton Thelwell also a bit lazy, or is my memory doing him an injustice?

I think Adam Boyd was just principled. He was bought as an "in the box" operator so refused to run the channels and never switched on too much until he was near the penalty spot.

For a man with so little pace or stamina, he carved a career out for himself.

This may be before lots of people’s time , but I saw Stan Bowles playing for the Orient. I never saw him run anywhere. He would pick up the ball in midfield , beat one or two players and put in a great pass .Shame we didn’t have the players who could read the game like him.
When he came off at half time he would shout out “anyone know who won the 3-30 at rippon” or any other race course where he had placed a bet .He was the only player to come off without a mark on his kit. Think he played a whole season for us in the old division 2,
