Started the day with home-made banana/kiwi/strawberry smoothie, but only in an attempt to fool my system it isn't then going to put through vegan hell

Turkey for me, with pigs in blankets.

I've got a six pack of plain Bagels

Ended up having another Wellington today instead of the nut roast. Even better than the one the other day

Mushroom, butternut squash, onion, garlic, few others things - all Mrs PJs doing and my listening/memory skills aren't always the best.

Looking like I'm gonna be driving Christmas Day, from Cornwall to Suffolk, so whichever 'meat' they put into service-station pasties.

Missus is doing her one meal for the year by cooking a gammon on Xmas eve.
I’m doing a turkey Xmas day so will have a bit of both. Cooking for a vegan as well and struggling to find any decent mains so let me know if anyone does anything good.

Making some homemade sausage rolls and picky bits later but I’m never hungry and I don’t know how people are.

Not done it but it’s easy right? Got some decent sausage meat and justrol puff pastry (on offer in Tesco atm). It’s also vegan so will get some vegan sausages for it too. Always get poo poo shop bought ones and they are dry and disgusting

Just make sure everyone has had a good few drinks before they eat. That way nobody will notice what any of it tastes like anyway.

Don't know as our daughter is doing it for the first time this year despite the fact that her husband is the general manager of the pub/restaurant they live above. She has just become a qualified nurse so if she poisons us she can administer first aid. So that means I can't drink as I will be doing the driving. Happy Christmas to all boarders and let us wish for Santa to bring us 9 points this period.

Even the most basic recipe for sausage rolls will be much better than pre made.

Shockingly no one coming over really drinks much on Xmas day

For the first time in 66 years, I shall be dining out (outside of family) at a local public house - The Angel & Harp, Great Dunmow - roast lamb is the order of the day.

Back to my nephews again , can't remember what we ate last year because of excess alcohol , no doubt the same this year

Curry for me. Not a fan of Xmas dinner. Find it overrated tbh

That's a really nice pub. I've eaten there many times, both when my parents lived in Dunmow and then more latterly when Dad was in a care home there. It was just a short walk and the food and service was always top notch.
