Heating/air con has a minor impact on range, lights on has no impact whatsoever.

The biggest impact on range - other than driving style, obviously - is the external temperature. I see as much as 15% variation in the depths of winter compared to the peaks of summer.

Exactly and that’s why electric cars are a waste of time . Incidentally, if you break down in one you’re going nowhere. You can’t push them off the road because the wheels lock . I think somebody said it’s because it doesn’t have a gearbox

A bigger problem than sh*t inventions is things that are actually good inventions becoming more sh*t by design.

It’s sh*t in the car, especially round some parts of Essex, Hertfordshire, Devon, Lake District and Wales.
Have you considered moving?
That’s the problem if you move, which is often the case in a car the signal becomes crap.

My EV is a Hyundai and does up to 320 miles on a full charge I would not call that crap range. I can also console myself that charging at home as I do nearly all the time will cost £4.80 (that's 1.5p per mile) rather than filing up with Petrol for £50 or £60 (17p per mile based on £55) I used to fill up once a week so that's an overall £2500 a year saving on fuel.

320 miles is very impressive I must say
However, does that include:
heater/ac on
lights on
stereo on?

If so, then doubtless you'd get more than 320 with them off? If not, then doubtless you'll get less than 320 with all 3 blazing, as is necessary sometimes - e.g. a night trip in freezing weather.

Just asking out of curiousity, nothing more.
Thanks

Not everything runs off the cars traction Battery, Lights and Stereo run off a standard 12v battery as they would in a ICE car. having Air con/heater on does have an affect it would take probably 5% off the range but it depends on other factors.

Lights and stereo has zero impact on range.

When I put my heating on full whack - say when defrosting the car - the range will drop by 10-15%. But you’d never drive like that. A more realistic figure would be 5% or so.

If alone or just one passenger, you can use electric heated seats/steering wheel and there’s no need to have hearing on.

Bullworker exercise device.

When I was growing up I was so weak and thin , I used to go to the beach and kick sand in my own face. I used to have to jog around in the shower to get wet.

My Dad bought me one of these. Utterly useless they were.

The process of sorting clothes that can be washed/dried together is ridiculous. Then my machine will take far longer than it says it will. Why hasnt someone come up with a better process?

How about a leaf blower, what does it actually achieve. It just moves them from one place to another.

Well most of the leaf blowers have the option of a two choice mode whereby you can suck the leaves into the bag on the machine, or if you wish, put it on the other mode where it blows the leaves away

Depends how fussy you are. My clothes tend to be much the same material and not that dirty so as a rule all go into the same wash. Also my machine has options of from only around 20 minute upwards wash, Recently I tried out the 30 minute wash on 40C temperature, never used it in the past and have been very surprised as to how clean everything comes out. Of course if clothes are very dirty then a longer time programme is needed, same goes for different lighter wash programmes required for ladies etc delicates.
