Also like everyone myself included it is easy to sit here and say we'd do, x, y and z but when it actually comes to it, how will you/I/Anyone actually react is totally different

What needs to happen from this is the club, league, everything need to sit down and look at how they can improve going forward, the big problem with all these incidents is it's never known how serious they are, like yesterday was horrific but last sense, fans wanted the game flagged down in the Tommy Johnson but the game went on and it was fine.

Everyone in there heads will always think they will say and do the right thing, when it comes to actuality it's a totally different matter and in a lot of cases there is a no-win scenario

I know what I would have done - I would have ignored any stupid rules, used common sense and stopped the game instantly to give the person every change of survival. Assume it’s worst case. No excuse for being a jobsworth rule follower

Doesn't this assume he immediately realised the gravity of the situation? Which he wouldn't have. And that his response had any bearing on what sadly happened. Which we have no evidence for.

The guy is probably torn up today as it is, as anyone up close to witnessing someone's death would be. Calling him this or that seems incredibly harsh and unnecessary, humans make errors and his wasn't malicious or even significant in the end. Seems like everything that could have been done was done.

1. Why were the stewards so slow in responding to the aggravation in the crowd. Surely these people are supposed to be watching the crowd. One guy did come over and then went away, presumably to tell someone. Did he not have a radio?

2. Where were the clubs medical staff. They even had to walk around the pitch as I could see. Despite Justin's death where were the defibrillator's.

3. Why the
f*** did the guys running on the pitch not get listened to.

4. Why was Theo not listened to by the linesman. He seemed more intent on pushing Theo away. Derek was literally yards away from the linesman.

The crowd were brilliant in trying to help but sadly to no avail.

I suppose the only consolation to Derek, and hopefully to his family and friends, is that at his death, he was watching his team winning a game. He wasn't alone!!

On point 2, defib is only used to reset a rapid heart rate, if the heart stops then only CPR can help.
