We dont do well against big physical sides, and i suppose we never will. Thank goodness there isnt many that play the Stevenage way
We did have the players to physically match Stevenage last week but Richie chose the wrong lineup . Not criticising Richie for a second because how could you drop any players from the previous weeks fantastic performance against Cambridge . Its not easy being a football manager to get things right every week .

I thought it was their lone striker that was the 16 year old kid?

Cooper is going to make a huge difference to our defense - if he can continue to stay on the pitch.

Wonder why we only have him till January. Ours or Swansea's decision?

Piggot's goal was really well taken. A fair few seemed to be writing him off already when he's looked very technically tidy and has proven he can score goals at this level. As he gets up to speed, I think he could be decent no.9 for us.

Quite interesting that the Exeter forum was talking about how route one and direct we were. Was there a noticeable change to how we normally play beyond the formation?

No there wasn't, not really.

We were just a lot more effective at set pieces and corners than normal - Beckles/Cooper/Pratley/Piggot gives us decent strength and size at those.

El Miz is a stunningly good player, Cooper was fantastic, young Turns might not get his place back now, Pigott had his best game for us, Graham is classy, and Ruel showed what he is capable of in added on time
Quote ''Ruel showed what he is capable of in added on time''......add to that, look at the match video and you will also see that Ruels pass sent Graham away on his run on the right wing where he ended up putting in a good cross from which Piggott chested down and scored a well taken goal.

Don’t know where they got that idea from they must of been watching a different game. If anything we tend to over play sometimes. The only time we play the long ball is when Happe it’s it long diagonally 🙈

The Happe long distance toe basher up the pitch is an integral part of his distributional abilities.

Yes nice well taken goal and all down to old fashioned style wing play by right winger Graham !

Think I would refer to them as ‘long passes’ and it was good to mix it up a bit,
Exeter were very predictable and preferred to continually pass and pass it but not really get anywhere…….Now where have I heard that before
