Ruel is a goalscorer, playing him so deep is a waste and he may as well not play.

If Pigott is going to start every game then Ruel should be playing up alongside him otherwise I just can't see us scoring

Pigott was isolated and had little support……….obviously he’s not a No.9 but RW doesn’t play with two central strikers, as is the ‘modern way’ ………I like Ruel but he needs to play as an out and out striker to be effective IMHO

I don't think he can play up top on his own, he's not physical or quick enough but he has good feet and could benefit from some hold up from Pigott.
