Spoiler alert: Sanders is not suppoed to be a standout figure. Very much a Lloyd James type with his work going unrecognised by fans.
Was Lloyd James unrecognised by fans? Thought the general consensus was that he was pretty good in his role?

Sweeney/Happe down left looked very poor, both the disallowed goal and the goal came from down Sweeneys side.

Idris is Idris, always looks best player on the pitch, but I disagree with beradogs, I thought Sanders looked good.

Drinan doing what Drinan does, nothing.
TBF Archibald is not tracking back too much.

Lloyd James was one of the best passers of a ball we’ve had in recent years.

I know Ipswich have gone up the championship but they must have some outstanding midfield players because El Mizouni is just ridiculous for this level.

I’ve just given him a 10 based on that 60 minutes.he made Charltons midfield (and the rest of ours) look silly.

Stark contrast between the left and right hand side. On the left Sweeney and Archibald looking good going forwards, but gaps behind as a consequence. On the right James hardly crosses the half way line, and an isolated trialist.

Yep agree apart from
Idris was good but an a 8 not a 10
Sanders deserved a 7
Duncan was soooo poor, wont be seeing him again.

This will be controversial but one day I would like to see Sweeney play left wing with Theo on the right

Not sure how he could have improved on that - 8 is harsh - I can be pursuaded on Sanders but El Miz was different class.

It must be difficult for a triallist like Bobby Duncan, but I think Bobby Davro would probably have had more effect

Yep Idris was our stand out player, and with Sanders behind him, I like Idris in a more offensive role where he can really dictate the game.
Let’s agree on a 9 🤣

Happy for Drinan. That'll be a weight off his shoulders, and hopefully he can kick on this season and regain his goalscoring form from two seasons' ago.

Struggling to play out from the back this half. Two Ogie mistakes one of which leads to a good Sam Howes save.

90 mins 1-1 last 30 to go. We had a lot of the ball mainly in our half that 30. Unfortunately no goal threat still.

Terrible outcome. Needs replacing and a few goals in preseason will just kick that can down the road.

Agreed, this match has highlighted the need for a No.9 , but it’s early days and I’m RW and Lingy are working on it.

Well we've still got one or two new strikers to sign yet so not a problem .
