I would not just wet my bed but also the carpet if either of these players play for us next season.

He works hard and runs the channels a lot, its the sort of striker who would fit Richie’s system well. His goalscoring stats at this level on the other hand…Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 7:36 amYour Richies type of player comment , unless you mentioned his name to something else ?

Re: Macca Bonne
We proved last year that you don't need a 20 goal a season striker to go up (but it helps obviously) I agree that Bonne would fit RW's system perfectly and I have always thought that plyers need to be at the right club under the right manager to thrive - I think Bonne could be good for 15 goals in a RW team and I would happily take that.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:16 amHe works hard and runs the channels a lot, its the sort of striker who would fit Richie’s system well. I thought so to as Richie has never publicly stated Macca is his type of player , so was wondering if had confirmed it in a private conversation . Re: Macca Bonne
I agree. He’s the sort of player who will work hard and that will create space for others. Having a focal point makes a team too one dimensional.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:45 amWe proved last year that you don't need a 20 goal a season striker to go up (but it helps obviously) I agree that Bonne would fit RW's system perfectly and I have always thought that plyers need to be at the right club under the right manager to thrive - I think Bonne could be good for 15 goals in a RW team and I would happily take that.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:16 amHe works hard and runs the channels a lot, its the sort of striker who would fit Richie’s system well. 26 goals in 133 games after he left OrientLong slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:30 am11 goals in 29 starts for Charlton in ChampionshipBiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:16 amHe works hard and runs the channels a lot, its the sort of striker who would fit Richie’s system well. 12 goals in 29 starts for Ipswich in League One
18 goals in 115 League 1 games (all clubs)
He had a good start in 21/22 for Ipswich, scoring some important goals. After the beginning of November that season, his only goal for the rest of it was the 3rd in a 3-0 win at Gillingham, at the start of January. His first goal last season was the 6th in a 6-0 win in the 90th minute as a sub, 3 months after he signed.

Able to play the lone front man, works defences tirelessly both on and off the ball, strong, quick, not that great a finisher.

Re: Macca Bonne
Richie has said countless times what his type of forward is. After watching Bonne play about 60 times for us i believe that he fits into that type. Unless he’s suddenly changed into someone elseEqualiser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:43 amYou said Richies type of player , Ive never heard Richie say it & Just wonder what knowledge you had that led you to say Macca was .Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:13 amWhere did I say that Richie said he is his type of player please?Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 9:06 am

Re: Macca Bonne
Have I said he doesnt do any of that ? No I Havent , yet still nobody can show me where Richie has claimed Macca is his type of player. Sounds like your describing Drinan rather than Macca , one of him is enough thanks , I'd like a younger Troy Deaney Type , an out & out goalscorer .Max Fowler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:47 amHis style of play is Richie all over.Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:43 amYou said Richies type of player , Ive never heard Richie say it & Just wonder what knowledge you had that led you to say Macca was .Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:13 am

Re: Macca Bonne
I tend to agree with this “ not a great finisher” I think he’s better than Drinnan and Kelman. Can he recapture his form. I have a feeling he can. He’s only 27 and knows the club pretty well. Can we afford him, does Wellens want him? Can’t see him getting a championship club only league one or two and the fact he tends to stay in the south. Personally would like to see him backMax Fowler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:47 amHis style of play is Richie all over.Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:43 amYou said Richies type of player , Ive never heard Richie say it & Just wonder what knowledge you had that led you to say Macca was .Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:13 am
