This place is getting more dramatic by the hour.
It’s just an observation. I don’t think it’s wildly dramatic to suggest that a football team who can’t score goals is quite likely to be relegated. I’m sure we will get someone (or two/three) who can score. Just making a point about if it doesn’t happen.
Just revisiting this to point out that last season Plymouth's top scorer bagged 13 goals. Turns out they won the division with over 100 points rather than being relegated by February.
Then let’s hope the same happens with us!

Well, it did last season. Didn’t our top scorer score 10 league goals and we won the division.

Because we didnt let any goals in, due to a decent defence but mainly 1) the best keeper in the division and 2) the best CDM in the divsion.

We absolutely need a 9 who is going to reach double figures this season.

Our top scorer who just left.

Anyway, since I initially posted that comment we’ve signed a bloke who bagged loads last year

Either way, two examples from last season that proves your point wrong. Are you ok to admit that?

Yeah I was wrong. As you can either have one bloke scoring loads or everyone scoring a bit. Point taken.

Definitely need 1 striker and 1 more winger but yep, other than that, we're good to go.

I'd have Drinnan ahead of Ruel, especially as L1 defences are that much more physical than L2.

We don't need them all on day one - another CB and another striker, if needed, in January.

I wouldn’t be that upset if Ed Turns was bought back in.
GK I suspect will be a young loanee from higher up somewhere.

Could do with some experience up front if there’s any knocking about.

Assuming Agyei is in for Smyth still leaves us two strikers short (Kelman and Smith who wasn't replaced in Jan)

Relying on Sotiriou and Drinan against L1 defences isn't up to the standard of what we've brought in so far. Need more goals from that area this year.

CB still hoping for Turns on loan, then Ogie can go out the other way to L2 for some minutes perhaps.

Yes agree, we need 2 forwards permanent signings
No.9 - Luke Armstrong, Sam Nombe, Sam Smith
Winger - ??
Plus I would love to see us sign Spurs young forward, Dane Scarlett on loan.
And if I am allowed to be greedy - Ed Turns on loan

I reckon we will sign a solid experienced striker and then a young loanee winger/striker. Possibly a loanee CB and at a push an attacking midfielder as I don’t think we have a tailor made back up for Moncur.

Very good point Roger, we do not have a like for like for Moncur.
But how many Moncurs are out there available?
Maybe Gailbraith can fill that role when Moncurs not playing?

El Miz played there a bit. And maybe any of the other new midfield signings can play there too. Plus there is Obiero who I think plays there. So maybe it’s not a priorty. Minimum is a decent striker (and GK obviously) and I think those are the only must haves for the start of the season. Wouldn’t be surprised if we then see a couple of other signings before deadline day (for example a CB like Turns and a striker like Kelman/wareham)

The key signing will be the No.9 signing
The 15-20 goal scorer
We have Agyei, who I am very happy with, a great signing, as he can play out wide or as No.9.
But we need that out n out Centre forward.
In RW we trust

I'm not that confident with our full backs. I expect to see sweeney first choice and do well, but not convinced james and hunt are up to this level.

Moncur has to be key this season for us to do well.

We now have 6 midfielders so don't expect another 10 to come in. As you say, El Miz can play there if necessary (and with Galbraith and Sanders and Brown and Pratley, we won't miss him as much as the 4 as we did last season), as can Ruel, and as can Theo if necessary.
