I expect over the years, we've signed a good player by waiting for him to become available, for example Idris, rather than rushing to sign the first player that knocks on the door. It's more important to make a good decision, rather than a quick one.

Regardless, we are not limited in our transfer market activity. Just as these players will be discussing potential contract offers with other clubs, I'd be amazed if we have not also been doing the same with other players. We don't have to wait until a player rejects our contract offer to start the replacement process.

For me, the order of priority is:

1. Beckles
2. Happe
3 .El Miz (dont think we can afford him but hope I am wrong)
4. Vigoroux (easiest position to recruit for)
5. Smyth (how many games before he is out injured again?)

Found out that Happe has been touted by Aberdeen but will not be going there as his partner has said "NO WAY!" and she is of scottish descent.
