If Ipswich don't want him, he'll still have plenty of offers from other L1 and possibly Championship clubs. He's still only 22 and is developing week by week so will definitely be able to compete at Championship level in the not too distant future.Stan1972 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 1:22 pm El Mizouni - Absolute must signing
With Ipswich looking good for Championship, I am sure every O’s fan would like to see the club offer a great package to sign El Miz on a permanent 2-3 year contract.
Throw in the captains armband, we need him next season, it would be a backward step to lose him, he is the complete CM player, the team needs to be build around El Miz.

Ed Turns - Season long loan
Cannot see Brighton releasing him, if they do we should sign him up on a permanent deal, if not definitely should sign for next season on season loan deal. Turns is only going to get better and in L1 will get more time on the ball to play out from back & will be a big player for us alongside Beckles & Happe.
If Turns was to come back to us next season it would definitely only be as a loan . No way are Brighton going to let go a youngster they think so highly of . We'd have a far better chance getting him back here on loan because we'd be at League 1 level so very good for his continued development .ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:15 am Who is better, Happe or Turns?
Its close but I think Turns has more potential, and will be playing football at a much higher level than league 2 eventually.
I would like Turns here next season, but it would probably be on loan again
You're forgetting he's still very young . Yes he's made mistakes but he's learning from them and getting better . . As for being bullied he got rattled around a bit at Sutton but I thought he stood up to it quite well . Give him a chance because I think he's got a very bright future .TRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:33 amNah mate.Stan1972 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 1:22 pm

Brighton will release him at some point or flog him on for a few quid if they can, he's nowhere near their level. He'll probably go Crawley. He has been bullied on occasions for us and cost us a few goals but overall, he's been ok. Beckles and Happe will be first choice again next season, it wouldn't be in anyone's interest to have him here sitting on the bench.
Brighton know there's no way he's getting near their first team.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:40 amIf Turns was to come back to us next season it would definitely only be as a loan . Yes he is still only 20. But I'm going to guess he's stopped growing upwards by now.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:47 amYou're forgetting he's still very young . Apparently they really rate the 19 year old kid that tore Chelsea apart on Saturday and scored a wonder goal.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 11:05 am Apparently they rate him highly there. Needs to bulk up and get wiser at handling physical forwards, if he can sort that then I think he's got a pretty high ceiling. A lack of height hasn't stopped other centre backs from going far in the game, they just adapted to account for it.
