Defence is ok.
We must keep El-Miz and add a couple more for our midfield.
However, we need some forwards. They haven’t been able to score in League 2, so I can’t see League 1 being easier.
If we can get a goalscorer I think we can hold our own with the nucleus of the squad retained.
RW knows all this. I trust his judgement for summer recruits and players being offered a further stay.
The problem we have is that we need a centre forward that can suit Riches way of playing and be a prolific goalscorer. Not many players suit those conditions. Mac Bonne may be the answer
Yes he fits in 2 goals in 42 games

No chance of getting Bonne back because I think he signed two year contract with Charlton in January

That’s not a bad shout actually, and a player that wouldn’t be out of our range I think?

Bonne is only contracted to Charlton until the end of this season.

My Ipswich supporting mate says if they go up - which looks likely - they will need a new strike force for the Championship. The lad Kayden Jackson looks a handful, might be worth getting him in the taxi with El Miz!

Apparently Bonnes wages are pretty substantial.
I believe there's better out there, for less outlay

Who?
No idea on the financials, but I don't imagine we'll be able to attract a better quality striker, at least not until we've established ourselves in the division.

We could try converting McCart to striker.
