Excuses , excuses .We were poo poo and the substitutions were terrible.it’s blatantly obvious to everyone that we should have signed a proven striker instead of to many Centre Backs. Who was ultimately responsible for not signing a proven striker and was it yet again due to penny pinching ?
It’s Nearly April and you are still going on about Jan and not signing a striker.
We all know that, it’s soooo boring hearing the same posts, we should have signed a striker, yeah we should have, but we didn’t t!! Just move on, we have to work with the players we have, and talk about now and end of season not what didn’t happen back in Jan.

Kind of funny that he accepts the subs didn't work out at all for the second game running but he says it like it was nothing to do with him and was something that just happened.

Choosing to spend our money on Lydon and Carthorse rather than another striking option is looking like a very strange decision.

Yes that's right. Two games we were in control of and threw away after poor substitutions.

Doesn't seem to be registering with some that the reason we didn't sign a striker is because RW / ML et al couldn't find one that would give us more that what we had. Hard to predict that what we had in January would become such a worry to us as we reach April. It's also difficult to understand why decent strikers didn't want to jump at the chance of coming to the League leaders and potentially playing L1 football next season - maybe there weren't the decent stikersavailable.

I thought the reason was that we didn’t have enough money to bring in 2 turgid CBs, a crocked midfielder AND a striker?

The reason given was the FFP limit, though if we really really wanted a striker there were ways around it, especially given we got rid of Smith the week after which was another big earner off the books.

Strange interview. He seems to be blaming Sweeney for the goal because of his bad decision making - surely the bad decision was taking Sweeney off.

Exactly . It was a poor decision not to bring in another striker . Hopefully we don't live to regret it and can still win promotion
