100% agree

I suppose the point is I can’t rate them as worse or better than GA and LS so I left it as even. The comparison was only meant to be comparing that one promotion season anyway, where as I said earlier GA and LS scored 21 goals between them. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that LA and CW could match that so I called it even.

I think they will.

Rebuilding is a slow process. Can’t expect to charge up the leagues year on year.
Rebuilding what exactly? Why shouldn't we be aiming for promotion this season?
Rebuilding the club from the rock bottom it was at 2 years ago.

There’s no reason not to aim for promotion this season, but perspective makes me think that as long as we avoid relegation I won’t be too disappointed.

Ask me the same question a year from now and it’s highly likely I’ll give you a very different answer.

I’m also not convinced that the current squad has the quality to push for promotion. Of course, I’m happy to be proven wrong.
Where we were 2 years ago is now irrelevant. The rebuilding has been done. Look at where we were at the end of last season. Of course we should have been looking to push onwards and upwards from that base.

But I agree that the squad now doesn't have sufficient quality to push for promotion but thats because of selling off our prized assets and failing to rectify existing shortcomings in the squad. We should have been in a position to challenge.
