The midfield just had no ‘legs’. Prats did all the running much like last season as we had no shape. It detracts from his game when he has to cover for others.
RW needs to have a real think about the midfield for our next game. We lost the game because it didn’t work today.

Lyden. 4.5. Hasn’t played for a year and it showed. Can’t remember any contribution of note.
It’s absolutely shocking that we’ve signed a bloke who hasn’t played for almost a year and have actually put him into a starting line up where he(somewhat predictably) puts in such a poor performance.
It’s borderline amateurish. The kind of thing you’d expect from a club lingering around the bottom of the conference South, not a team genuinely challenging for the League 2 title.
I feel like the decision bring Lyden in and stick him in the team is getting lost in the general malaise of our recent poor form but when you think about it, it’s an utterly shambolic situation.
Totally agree. With El Miz and Brown out Clay should have started. RW said. Lydon was brought in as he knows what is expected of him having played for him before. Poor choice on the fact that he has not played for over a year. Nobody interested in him shows he is not much of a player.

Clay isnt the type of midfielder to do that job .

Clay is the type of player who can tackle, get the ball and give it to someone else. Quickly. Our midfield was crying out for that type of player yesterday.

That’s 2 games running he’s put a couple of untried players straight in and if I’m correct? He said he made a mistake against Stevenage. Perhaps just perhaps he’s getting a little carried away with his early season success.Back to basics please RW.
