Probably better in the U21 team that played us. My Chelsea supporting mate certainly thinks so.

I think we'll bring in a better striker now
🤞 Hopefully. Edit . I meant to add good luck for the future Jayden and thank you .

I too wish Jayden all the best. We don't seem to have too much success with our loan forwards, some did nothing but improved later on like John Marquis. Harry Kane, Andros Townsend and all those years ago, Kevin Campbell did do well. Others, like John Marquis did nothing with us but improved later on. Any others?

Maybe Scott Wagstaff (Charlton), Jayden Stockley (Bournemouth) and Harry Cornick (Bournemouth)

Maybe.

Not good enough for L2 yet, and not tough enough to lead the line for a National League side.

I don’t know. He seems to like getting players in on loan who barely play

I get what the moaners are trying to say.

We have a track record of bringing in 19-22 year old Premier/Championship, wet behind the ears kids who just ain't up to it. So long as we are not paying their wages, I can't get too upset by this.

But what is the point of a season long loan?
How are we developing them? Through training with the first team?
Surely our coaches are experienced enough to see after a maybe a month wether or not they’re worth keeping!

Did PTerry maybe arrange this loan with his links to Chelsea via his Brother?

He did. Basically the best loanees we've had recently have been from non-big clubs.

It's exactly this. Training with senior pro's every day instead of other 20 year old boys is a massive difference. Plus sitting on the bench as part of a match day squad in front of 1,000s of spectators.

So it took three months for us to see that he wasn't what we're looking for ?

I thought that wasn't our decision , Chelsea recalled him .

So no benefit to us at all! A complete waste of time.

Twas ever thus. But that won't stop some of the people who complain that the big club loanees aren't up to it from getting excited next time we get someone in from a big club.

Saved us playing a full pro in the plastic cup and did OK in a game or two earlier in the season iirc. Not quite there yet physically as shown in the Northampton game.

Good luck to him for his next move. Need to get another one in now.

We’re not doing very well at the moment at bringing anybody in. It’s beginning to look like we’ll be going with the same patched up defence again as last Saturday against Barrow

Would that be the same patched up defence that let in no goals, and Vigs had hardly anything to do. I don't dispute we need a centre half, but more important that we get the right one, rather than the wrong one in a hurry.
