Were the two new young loanee’s Richie’s choices ? If so fair enough. In Richie we trust.
If they were not meet with Richie's approval then he would not have them. He would rather work with nothing than be forced into something he doesn't want. He's done that sort of thing before and regretted it (spoke about that kind of stuff at MTM).
Who knows? Jackett has said he had no choice with the muppets that came here in January, it was them or nothing. They were the best Ling could dredge up.
I’m not so fussed about Kelman, so long as Smith and Drinnan aren’t out for much longer which were told will be the case. He’s here to fill a short term gap and will then be behind Drinna and Smith in the pecking order.
But the boy in midfield had better be the real deal. He should be here to start games ………
Hold on a second . Ling and Nigel both said they were Kenny's choices .

Obviously has something about him to get a long contract at QPR.
That's at Championship level . He might be OK at League Two level. We'll have to wait and see for the answer to that .

Kelman has the making of another Drinan in him and not just by looks. I gotta good feeling about this. It's been a long time since we've had so much firepower in the forward line

Interesting interview, and gives a small insight into how things work. QPR approached at the start of the pre-season. They want to see how he goes through it, then they offer him the chance to move (assume they tell him he's unlikely to feature in the first team). Perhaps this will help some realise that it takes time to get the players you want in.

Calling all you statisticians and suchlike out there, who was the last loanee to score 3 goals in his first 5 starts for the Os?

I’ll go Ryan Jarvis when first on loan from Norwich?

Talking to a QPR supporting mate of mine at work yesterday and he thought Kelman really struggled at Championship level . Whatever happens he would be better off staying with us anyway for the entire season . Better for Charlie and very good for us .

His goal scoring record before us (@QPR & Gillingham) was poor for a striker. Richie must have been altered to his ability and wanted him in the building. Kelman (like Idris and like Theo before him) needs a good playing run to prove himself at this level. I think everyone concerned appreciates this and so unless he has an incredible number by xmas (and there's a call back clause) then he's here for the season.
PS. Then man we saw Saturday was light years away from the one that played at Crawley IMO. The fitness and sharpness, as well as the familiarity of whats expected from him, is very noticeable.

Think it probably helped him that Hartlepool had a poor back 4 and the left back particularly struggled with Kelman in the first half. I think he offers more than Harry Smith as he looks far quicker and sharper.
He’s certainly started well and long May it continue.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the header that set up Ruel for the fourth goal. Unbelievably difficult bit of skill.
