Making arguably our most important signing of the summer a 19 year old kid on loan who's never played senior football would be peak Ling.
Not writing him off, but it's ridiculously on brand for the club.
*less than a week before the season starts
At least this one isn’t injured.
Yet.

Really like this loan signing, young hungry kid on loan wanting to impress, and we have given him the platform in L2 to do it for The O’s in a position we need to strengthen.
Well done everyone

Where does that leave Coleman and Brown bringing in another young midfielder on loan . I’d send either Coleman or Brown out on loan and bring in another senior midfielder.

One of them out on loan probably. Of the two Brown has shown a bit more so he might stay?

Im not sure loaning out 1st team squad is helpful , werent bedwetters saying we had a threadbare squad already ?

Midfield is short but Coleman hasn't made it any better (arguably had the opposite effect) so if he goes out and better options come in then it's a net gain.
Be interesting whether this Southampton loan is a first choice or one of the 3 filler signings RW alluded to the other week.

True. the other two lads from Spurs did better for us, but Kane has had the better career
Amen to that. Too many O's fans try to rewrite history.

Arguably by who Wellens & T&T ?
His performances on the pitch thus far, looked miles off being an L2 player.

Yes , that’s why he’s brought in another young central midfielder

Obviously Wellens does agree, hence this signing.
I’m with others, Brown looked the better bet last season, Coleman should go and get some game time, try to become the player Lingy thinks he is.

He has to be the deep lying midfielder out of the 3, the role Hector was playing under Wellens. His job in offence is to collect the ball from the back 4 and link play.
It’s a crucial role when you want to play out from the back as Richie does.

Richie wants to play a 4-2-3-1 system. In that system, Jack Turner would be one of the 2, with Clay probably, or maybe Pratley

Not really the role for someone who's never played before.
