Not sure our midfield has won the ball off of them yet?
Worried about Thompson at Rb. I know there’s a love in for him on here but he is pedestrian and a massive downgrade on James.

Thompson is getting torn a new one every time Pompey attack down their left.
We just don’t have anyone to finish off any good work done by Smyth and Theo.

Great goal. Smyth is different class and great ball from Ogie.

Pompey are better than us as they should be being in a league above us. It'll be a good workout for us.
Good goal from our pocket Irish dynamo.

Quality strike by Smyth, I hope we can keep him fit

He’s been one of the best players on view

He's meant to be the utility backup we only need to use sparingly but these pre-season injuries are proving a big problem
As above Smyth & Archibald vs. Portsmouth

We’re basically playing with 9 men.
Why don’t you go and play on the railway lines

And now a pen, Happe foul
We need to be easing Happe and Clay back in gradually but with this paper thin squad can see them being thrown in before they're fully back up to speed
1-4

Neither Clay or Happe are in our starting XI, even with current injury list.

The word current is very pertinent given this summer so far. And the option instead of Clay is Coleman

New 11 for Orient in 2nd half (team of kids plus Clay & Happe who are both way off the pace after returning from long injuries plus 2 trialists, just shows how thin our squad is and the lack of quality we have strength in depth.
I hope we get 3-4 players in before Grimsby game otherwise it’s going to be a long season.

That's good as far as I'm concerned. But I've always been a fan of Craig Clay (as is Mrs NES). I am happy he's back playing already considering the injury he had. And I'm glad Happe is back playing too.

That's what's telling more than scorelines. The "strong" XI looked poor aside from Smyth and Archibald. The reserve XI is a bunch of kids who look lost.

It's going to be a long season - July to May - longer than usual for us long-suffering supporters

I hope we're not effectively playing with 9 men when we get to play Grimsby . Need two or three new players ASAP because time is now running out . The big kick off is only 9 days away now .
